Information regaridng Resume Game issues & multiplayer.
Was able to re-create this bug reliably. Two players, one living in New York and the other in Boston.

If the person who created the table was the last one out of the game (by means of the Quit option *only,* and not by means of a client crash or disconnect) and was the first one into the lobby by means of Online > Resume, the game picked up just fine.

If the player who was NOT the table creator was the last one out of the game, then when we joined back into the game, the following scenario occurred:

Player 1 could not roll the dice, despite it being their turn.
Player 2 did not see player 1's name. Their client thought it was an AI player.

The above situation occurred whenever a client crashed, or whenever the players did not exit and enter the game in the correct order.

Really !#%%ing irritated. I spent the money for the Season Pass after discovering the game. It worked like a charm for one game (1 on 1) and ever since then we've lost connection to one player. Once, we lost connection to a player early on and then again two hours into the game.

Can anyone else recreate this scenario? I was only able to convince one poor sap to waste a few hours of his life trying to test this ♥♥♥♥.

Same here! But many thanks for the information about the correct "quitting order". In our games, the host (of a private game) quit first, and at resuming the posted scenario happened. We'll try quitting the other way round. Hopefully, that will work.

This issue really needs to be fixed somehow!

@Dexter: Was your game a private game, too?

Yes, it was private.

We currently cannot confirm this, but suspect that the presence of an AI player in the game can ♥♥♥♥ up your game as well, regardless of join order.

Using the "quit order" you described in the OP helped - Many thanks!! We were able to resume 1 game. The next time though, we had to exit and restart to get it working. Seems still shaky and in need of fixes.

Edit: Just downloading the new update. Fingers crossed...

After a long time tried again to play an online (private) game. Resuming is still not possible. In the (private) Lobby, all players got displayed and were able to click Ready. After game launch,
host sees other players as AI (not their names), and clients on other players crash. Tried 3 times, same result. Very disappointing that this is still not fixed. Will try again in a year or so.

The platforms involved were Win 7, 64 bit and Win 8.1.

It would be good to have a Save button and not just (as it is now) a Quit button that comes up with a message that you'll lose any progress - which indeed you do because of an unresumable game.

Started several games and tried fiddling with the "quitting" order (other players first, host last). No chance. Host can resume game but other players cannot join/are seen as AI by host/crash.

Is there a tutorial about how to play private online games that can be resumed?
