Genie (Follower) Interaction Bugs
1) When the Apprentice Mage has the Genie Follower and has less than 7 Craft, you are forced to roll on the spell casting success chart when the Genie casts its Spells. This is incorrect, as the Spell originates from the Genie, not the Apprentice Mage. It is clarified in the FAQ that the comment on the Genie card that says "Treat the spells as though you had cast them" "is only taken into account if an effect refers to a character who cast the Spell (such as the Reflection Spell)." The Apprentice Mage requirement to roll on the spell success chart is a Special Ability of the character, and not an Effect, as the rules define Special Abilities and Effects as being separate entities.

2) Additionally, as is clarified in Q6 of the Genie entry of the 1.1 FAQ, the Spells cast by the Genie are not considered to count against a character's spell limit. What this means is that the Genie is not bound by the rules governing only 1 spell being cast during an opponents turn, as characters are. Currently, any Spell cast from the Genie counts against the character's casting limit, which is incorrect. The Genie and the character are considered separate, as is evidenced by the Genie's spells not counting against the limit of the number of Spell's held or being able to cast when having a Craft less than 3. Theoretically, during your own turn, you could cast as many as 6 total Spells, 3 from your own character and 3 from the Genie. Additionally, you could cast 4 during a single opponent's turn, 1 from your own character and 3 from the Genie, who is not bound by casting restrictions that apply to characters, as they are a Follower.

Thanks to Ell for discussing these topics with me before I posted. The Genie is a headache when you try to decipher the proper interactions!
