"Turning Back" in the Inner Region
TURNING BACK

A character in the Inner Region may decide at any time to turn back and move back towards the Plain of Peril. A character who has turned back still only moves one space per turn, but ignores the instructions on all of the spaces on his return to the Plain of Peril. Once a character has declared his intention to turn back, he cannot change his mind and he must go all the way back to the Plain of Peril. Once there, however, the character is free to do whatever he likes, including heading back toward the Crown of Command or leaving the Inner Region through the Portal of Power.

ENCOUNTERS IN THE INNER REGION

A character does not draw Adventure Cards in the Inner Region. Instead, the encounter is detailed in the instructions for the space. The instructions must be followed, unless the character is turning back.

As the game currently stands, a character CANNOT turn back in the Inner Region correctly. A character on the Pits or Dice with Death is forced to stay there and has no option to turn back. There needs to be a tab option displayed so a character can choose to turn back - a simple "Turn Back" tab.

Please can you implement this into the game.

Thanks guys.

Agreed, noticed this as well.
I also agree that a "Turn Back" tab is a brilliant, clear solution. The previous space should not be highlighted as a movement choice until "Turn Back" is clicked, and then a window should appear:

"Are you sure you want to turn back? You must move back one space per turn until you reach the Plain of Peril. You do not encounter the spaces on your way back.
OK CANCEL"
Agreed as well with how you propose it is implemented!

I played an offline game today against 2 AI and decided to turn back from the VOF when my heal spell was countered and it made me face the Werewolf again?? You should ignor the spaces when turning back no?
It is currently not possible to turn back from the crown of command as well, though they fixed movement in the inner track otherwise. Not sure if the original rules state this though.

According to the Talisman Revised 4th Ed. rulebook: "Characters on the Crown of Command cannot turn back." Doesn't get any clearer than that. :)
We are just talking about the other spaces in the Inner Region, not the Crown of Command. When turning back, a character DOES NOT encounter each space. At the moment, characters are being forced to encounter them!

A bug I noticed related to this since the ability to turn back was added. I was on the Pit Fiends space, and rolled a 4 for the number of Pit Fiends to encounter and defeat. I defeated the first 2, but then lost a Battle, which ended my turn. Next round, when it was my turn again, I was forced to roll the dice again. I rolled a 6, and was forced to encounter and defeat 6 more Pit Fiends. I'm pretty sure this worked correctly before the ability to turn back was implemented, where on subsequent turns you only need to defeat the remaining Pit Fiends leftover from the previous round.
