Language errors
We'd prefer translation errors to be reported via the in-game report form, but if you cannot do that for some reason, please post them in this discussion rather than make a new discussion about each one.

I think it would be helpful to the Devs if you add what exactly is wrong and how to correct it ;-)

What is wrong: text is not translated to polish.
How to correct it: translate text to polish.

Hope it's helpful now. :)

PS. The same bug occurs after you win in the battle against Firemane.

There is a typo on the English Taxation card:

"All good character." should be "All good characters."

Hell, yeah. Where did you get some of your german translations? (Apart from those already corrected by the community?) Google Translate? I will post incorrect texts and their correct translations, but it will take a while, because there are so many errors.
For now I'll just start with the ones that I remember from my first play.

It already starts with the "Leave"-Button on many occasions, which is translated to "Zurücklassen". Now, "Zurücklassen" is a correct translation for "Leave" if you mean leaving an item where it is while you go away (so it's more specificly "leaving sth. behind"). If you mean to leave a menu, a screen, a shop (or even a sentinent being where it is while you go away), the correct translation would be "Verlassen". I do not leave a menu behind...

Then there is the skill of the Assassin which is to assassinate enemies. It's called "Umbringen" in german which is simply the german word for killing. While it results in death if you are assassinated as well as if you are killed, "Umbringen" doesn't get the point. "To assassinate" is to be translated to "Meucheln". Which leads me to the question how this mistake made it to the game while in the Prologue the translation is fine. (As all translations I found in the Prologue. Why is this little extra game better polished then the main game?)

[Edit: Adding some entries]

One thing I noticed on many occasions is that there are many planks (spaces followed by a punctuation) and spaces in the middle of some words. For example there often is a space after the letters "...fi" although the word doesn't end there. Sometimes there also seems to bee a problem with the combination "tt". These problems doesn't only occur in the game, but also on some shop pages of the DLCs. For example on the Frostmarch Expansion it says "bitt erkalt" although it is one word. And "Ausgestatt et mit der Krone der Macht , plant..." even contains two mistakes. "Ausgestattet" is one word and there is a plank at the first comma. On the shop page of the Reaper Expansion also are some very mysterious mistakes. On the words "hargeso ene" (correct: "hartgesottener"), "Scha en" (correct: "Schatten"), "Unerbi lichen" (correct: "unerbittlichen" without capital letter) and "Schni ers" (correct: "Schnitters") always a "tt" is missing. On the first sentence is the word "Lu" which is supposed to be "Luft" which means a "ft" is missing. In the second half of the text, the missing letters are replaced by some kind of symbol. "Schni¬ er" is also supposed to be "Schnitter" and "Herrscha¬" is supposed to be Herrschaft. Oh, and in the sentence "...enthält 4 neue Charaktere,90 neue Abenteuerkarten,..." they forgot a space in front of 90. Take the spare one from the Frostmarch...

On the shop page of the Dungeons Expansion, the first sentence of the third passage should start with "Durch Die Katakomben..."

You decided to call the Gambler Expansion "Spieler" in german, which is ok, although "Spieler" can be mistaken as "player". "Glücksspieler" would have been better, but ok. Now the translation on the shop page is not very good.
" does not only contain the obvious double sentence in the end, but should be corrected to "Du kannst das Schicksal mit jedem Helden, auf dem du landest, herausfordern..
Ignorieren Sie jede Auswirkung, die Ihre Ausrichtung ändert." is to be "Während du an der Reihe bist, kannst du Trophäen in Gold tauschen. Wirf die gewählten Trophäen ab und erhalte für jede 1 Gold.
Der Spieler ist immer neutral. Ignoriere alle Anweisungen, die die Gesinnungen ändern."

And, of course, the translation on the shop page of the Shape Shifter Pack in german is complete gibberish. Almost nothing is correct.
So let's try to fix it as much as possible.
That's the momentary state:
"Figurenpack für Talisman: Digital Edition (Formwandler)

{De Intro.}

That is hard... You are even inconsistent how the character should be called in german. So let's try:
"Figurenpack für Talisman: Digital Edition (Gestaltenwandler)

Card: "Broken Sword" ("Zerbrochenes Schwert"), City Expansion, has a space too much: It's "Langschwert", not "Lang schwert".

In the city (base game) it is to be "Alchemist", not "Alchemiste".

Card "lottery" ("Lotterie"), City Expansion, has a space too much: It's "anschließend", not "anschlie ßend".

Card "Lich"(?) ("Leichnam"), Frostmarch Expansion, has a missing space: It's "Wird der...", not "Wirdder..."

Card "Walter walk"(?) ("Wasserwandeln"), Reaper Expansion, has a space too much: It's "Sturmfluss", not "Sturmfl uss".

Quest card "Kill a dragon" ("Tote einen Drachen") has a mistake already in it's title. It's "Töte einen Drachen".

After the first visit at the warlock's lair, the tutorial prompt is not translated. It says: "When any character is on a Warlock's Quest, the quest card is displayed on the left of the screen during their turn. Select the card to view it and see which quest the character is on" which is translated to "Wenn ein Charakter eine Aufgabe des Hexenmeisters zu erfüllen hat, dann wird die Aufgabenkarte während seinem Zug links auf dem Bildschirm eingeblendet. Wähle die Karte an, um sie anzusehen und herauszufinden, welche Aufgabe der Charakter hat."

Card: "Redeemer" ("Erlöser"), Sacred Pool Expansion, has a space too much: It's "befindlichen", not "befi ndlichen".

In the event log, if you have to discard a card, the log is back to front. It is "[Card] legt die Karte '[character]' ab" which translates to "[card] discards '[character]'" which is definitely not what you wanted to tell. You can either switch the placeholders or turn the sentences to passive like "'[card]' wird von [character] abgelegt."

Card "Thread of Fate" ("Schicksalsfaden"), Frostmarch Expansion, has a space too much: It's "Schicksalspunkte", not "Schicksals punkte".

Card "Demon Fighter" (Dämonenkämpfer"), Reaper Expansion, has a missing space. It's "...verlässt dich..:", not "...verlässtdich..."

Card "The Ferryman" ("Der Fährmann"), Reaper Expansion, has a space too muc. It's "Sturmfluss", not "Sturmfl uss".

Card "Sea of Visions" ("See der Visionen"), Frostmarch Expansion, contains multiple mistakes. There is a space too much in "Hexen meister" which is to be "Hexenmeister". Then there is a space and a punctuation mark missing. It's "...Karte. Sie ...", not "...Kartesie...". And there is a space missing at "...annehmen (die..."

Card "You are froged"(?) ("Du wirst gekrotet"), Frostmarch Expansion, contains a mistake in the title. It's "Du wirst gekrötet". (Although I guess by now that your font for the titles doesn't support Umlaute (ä,ö,ü)...

Card "Succubus" ("Sukkubus"), Reaper Expansion, has a space too much. It's "Talentpunkt", not "Talent punkt".

Card "Renegade" ("Abtrünniger") Sacred Pool Expansion, has a space too much. It's "befindlichen", not "befi ndlichen".

Well, that's for a start.

I will shortly continue the list...

I start a new post, because I think my first post is already long enough to be confusing. To be more efficient in finding errors then just write what I found while playing the game, I opened 'My collection' and browsed the cards there. So I can also sort them by expansion...

I will only add those mistakes I didn't mentoin above...

Base Game
  • "Angel" ("Engel") has a space too much. It's "fliegt", not "fl iegt".
  • "Hermit" ("Einsiedler") has multiple mistakes. It's "Todesgefahr", not "Todes - gefahr". It's "Lichtung", not "Lich tung". It's "Felsspalten", not "Fels spal ten". And it's "Einsamkeit", not "Einsam keit". While most spare spaces until now seemed to be at random (although most often after "fi"...) the mistakes on this card seem to be an attempt of hyphenation gone wrong...
  • "Amulet" ("Amulett") has a simple typo. "Immun" should start with a capital letter because it's the start of a new sentence.
  • "Chance"(?) ("Zufall") has a simple formatting error. The "*" on the bottom of the card should be at the beginning of the tenth row instead of the ending of the ninth because this is where the explanation starts.
  • "Bard" ("Barde") (character) has a space too much. It's "befindet", not "befi ndet".
  • "Elf" ("Elf") (character) has two spaces too much. It's "befindest", not "befi ndest" and "Befindest", not "Befi ndest".
  • "Assassin" ("Assassine") (character) has a space too much. It's "findet", not "findet"
  • "Thief" ("Dieb") (character) has a space too much. It's "befindet", not "befi ndet".

That's what I found for the base game.

I will view the expansions later on. For now I just looked into the rune stone pack and didn't find any mistakes in there.^^

[Edit: Adding The Reper Expansion]

The Reaper Expansion
  • "The Gathering"(?) ("Die Zusammenkunft") has a space too much. It's "verflüchtigt", not "verfl üchtigt".
  • "Mummy" ("Mumie") has a space too much. It's "infizieren", not "infi zieren".
  • "Nightmare" ("Nachtmahr") uses a correct, yet uncommon plural form. It's rather "Boni", then "Bonusse". And you used "Mali" as plural form of "Malus" on every occasion I saw so far, so "Boni" would be more consistent.
  • "Leper"(?) ("Aussätziger") has a space too much. It's "Lebenspunkt", not "Lebens punkt".
  • "Conjurer"(?) ("Zauberkunstler") has a missing Umlaut in it's title. It's "Zauberkünstler".
  • "Pathfinder" ("Pfadfinder") has a space too much. It's Pfadfinder", not "Pfadfi nder".
  • "Warhorse" ("Streitross") has a space too much. It's "Lebenspunkt", not "Lebens punkt".
  • "Orb of Fate"(?) ("Schicksalskugel") has two spaces too much. It's "Schicksalsmarker", not "Schicksals marker" (two times).
  • "Arena" ("Arena") has a space too much. It's "Spielfigur", not "Spielfi gur".
  • The "Summon [xy]" spells ("[xy] herbeirufen") are inconsistent. Some show the strength of the summoned creature as a number, some as a word. Only a cosmetic error...
  • Quest: "Discard trophies worth five points of strength" ("Leg Trophäen im Wert von funf Starkepunkten ab"): So there are Umlaute in your font for the titles (as shown in "Dämonenkämpfer" as I realized by now...), so use them where necessary. It's "Leg Trophäen im Wert von fünf Stärkepunkten ab".
  • Quest: "... worth five points of talent". ("...im Wert von funf Talentpunkten") see above. It's "fünf".
  • Quest: "take one point of life from another player" ("Nimm einem anderen Spieler einen Lebenspunkt ab") has a missing punctuation. It's either "...der das Zeichen des Talisman trägt. Ein Zeichen..." or "...der das Zeichen trägt; ein Zeichen..."
  • Quest: "Travel to the city" ("Reise zur Stadt") has a space too much. It's "finden", not "fi nden".

[Edit: Adding Frostmarch and one Typo I found]

The Steam-Achievment "The Challenger" ("Der Herausforderer") has a typo. It's "bereits", not "bereist".

Frostmarch Expansion
  • "Necromancer" ("Nekromant") (character) has a punctuation too much. It's "...falls dein Talent größer ist als das Talent des Geistes. ..." (without the comma)
  • "Divine Protection"(?) ("Göttlicher Schutz") has a space too much. It's "Lebenspunkte", not "Lebens punkte"
  • "Snowdrifts" ("Schneewehen") has a space too much. It's "Schneewehen", not "Schnee wehen".
  • "Frost death spirit"(??) ("Frosttod-Geist") has a space too much. It's "sondern", not "son dern". And I think there is a copy-past-error. The card says "Die Todlose bleibt hier, bis sie getötet wird.", but "Todloser" is a different card. Why not only "Sie bleibt hier, bis sie getötet wird." like on most other creatures?
  • "Swindler" ("Schwindler") has a space too much. It's "Gegenstand", not "Gegen stand".
  • "Frost Curse" ("Frostfluch") has a space too much. It's "Frostfluch", not "Frostfl uch".
  • "Centaur" ("Zentaur") has a missing space. It's "... beliebigen Gegner...".
  • "Goblin Pioneer" ("Goblinpionier") has a space too much. It's "Abenteuerkarte(n), not "Abenteuer karte(n)".
  • "Peddler" ("Hausierer") has a space too much. It's "Wasserflasche", not "Wasserfl asche".
  • "Pegasus" ("Pegasus") has too spaces too much. It's "geflügelte", not "gefl ügelte" and "fliegt", not "fl iegt".
  • "Carrier" ("Träger") has a missing umlaut in the title. It's "Träger".
  • "Winged boots" ("Geflugelte Stiefel") has a space too much. It's "Sturmfluss", not "Sturmfl uss". And the title is missing an umlaut. It's "Geflügelte Stiefel".
  • "Royal Decree" ("Konigliches Dekret") has a missing umlaut in the title. It's "Königliches Dekret".
  • "Treasur chest" ("Schatzkiste") has a space too much. It's "Gegenstand", not "Gegen stand".
  • "Palace of the Snow Queen" ("Palast der Eiskonigin") has a missing umlaut in the title. It's "Palast der Eiskönigin".
  • "Mystic portal" ("Mystisches Portal") has a formatting problem. The second line of the event at 8+) looks as if it belongs to the event at 5). Either increase the empty space between those two or move 5) to the second collum and give 8+) a row of its own...
  • "Transmutator" ("Transmutator") has a missing space. It's "...Begleiter oder ...".
  • "Hydra spell" ("Hydra-Zauber") has two spaces too much in a single word. It's "Einschränkungen", not "Ein schrän kungen". And I would replace "Timing" with "Zeitpunkt", although "Timing" is a correct german word. It sound too modern for the medieval fantasy setting.
  • "Erase" ("Ausloschen") has a missing umlaut in the title. It's "Auslöschen".
  • "Path of the joint"(?) ("Pfad der Fugung") has a missing umlaut in the title. It's "Pfad der Fügung".
  • "Aspirate Strength"(?) ("Starke absaugen") has a missing umlaut in the title. It's "Stärke absaugen".
  • Quest: "Roll for a quest" ("Erwurfele eine Aufgabe") has a missing umlaut in the title. It's "Erwürfele eine Aufgabe". And there is a space too much. It's "herausfinden", not "herausfi nden".
  • Quest: "Suspend the next two rounds" ("Setz die nachsten zwei Runden aus") has a missing umlaut in the title. It's "Setz die nächsten zwei Runden aus".
  • Quest: "Give one gold to another player" ("Gib einem anderen Spieler ein Goldstuck") has a missing umlaut in the title. It's "Gib einem anderen Spieler ein Goldstück". And there are two spaces too much. It's "Goldstück", not "Gold stück" and "Wohlbefinden", not "Wohlbefi nden".
  • Quest: "Discard two items" ("Leg zwei Gegenstande ab") has a missing umlaut in the title. It's "Leg zwei Gegenstände ab".
  • Quest: "Discard two companions" (Leg zwei Begleiter ab") has a space too much. It's "finden", not "fi nden".
  • Quest: "Lose one talent" ("Verlier ein Talent") has two wrong punctuations. The text starts with quotation marks although it starts with an explanation of the quest and when the real quote starts, there is only a comma at the beginning of the line instead of quotation marks.
  • Quest: "Lose one strength" ("verlier eine Starke") has a missing umlaut in the title. It's "Verliere eine Stärke". And it has the same punctuation error as the quest card above.
  • Quest: "Lose a life" ("Verlier ein Leben") has the same punctuation errors as the two cards above.
  • Quest: "Defeat the Guardian" ("Besieg den Wachter") has a missing umlaut in the title. It's "Besieg den Wächter". And it has a missing quotation mark at the very end.
  • Quest: "Travel to the mystic" ("Reise zum Mystiker") has a space too much. It's "findet", noct "fi ndet".
  • Quest: "Travel to the tavern" ("Reise zur Taverne") has a space too much. It's "finden", not "fi nden".
  • Quest: "Discard n armor" ("Leg eine Rustung ab") has a missing umlaut in the title. It's "Leg eine Rüstung ab".
  • Quests: "Kill [xy]" ("Tote ein(en) [xy]") all have a missing umlaut in the title. It's "Töte ...".
  • Quest: "Win a point of strength" ("Gewinne einen Starkepunkt hinzu") has a missing umlaut in the title. It's "Gewinne einen Stärkepunkt hinzu".
  • Quest: "Discard a trophy worth seven points" ("Leg eine Trophae im Wert von sieben Punkten ab") has a missing umlaut. It's "Leg eine Trophäe im Wert von sieben Punkten ab". An the card has the punctuation error with the wrong quotation mark at the beginning and the comma instead of a quotation mark where the real quotation starts.
  • Winning condition: "Crown and scepter" ("Krone und Zepter") has two spaces too much. It's "Spielerzuges", not "Spieler zuges" and "Befindet", not "Befi ndet".
  • Winning condition: "Snow Queen" ("Eiskonigin") has a missing umlaut in the title. It's "Eiskönigin". And there are two spaces too much. It's "fliehen", not "fl iehen" and "Befinden", not "befi nden".

Wow, that was much, especially the Quest cards... I hope the other expansions contain less mistakes...

And another new post for the sake of less confusion.

The Dungeon Expansion

  • "Gladiator" ("Gladiator") (character) has a space too much. It's "beizustehen", not "beizu stehen".
  • "Fencing Master"(?) ("Fechtmeister") (character) has two spaces too much. It's "Abenteuerkarte", not "Abenteuer karte" and "befinden", not "befi nden".
  • "Magic shield" (Magischer Schirm") has a apce too much. It's "beeinflussen", not "Beeinfl ussen".
  • "Giant bug" ("Riesenkäfer") has a space too much. It'S "Lebenspunkt", not "Lebens punkt". And there is one word missing. Add "auch" between "sondern" and "einer".
  • "Gate crusher" ("Torzerschmetterer") has a space too much. It'S "Abenteuerkarte", not "Abenteuer karte".
  • All cards of the type "Enemy: Cultist" ("Gegner: Kultistin") are using the femal form of the word "Cultist". Normally you use the male form if the gender is undefined. So "Gegner: Kultist" would be correct. That would also be more consistent with the bounty-cards added later.
  • "Malicious Goblin"(?) ("Tückischer Goblin") has a space too much. It'S "Fallgrube", not "Fall grube".
  • "Imitator"(?) ("Imitator"): Is this card really called "Imitator" in english? I know this creature under the name "Mimic". If that's how the card is named in english, so you might call it "Mimik" in german. And then there is the cosmetic error of "Bonusse" mentoined earlier which I would write as "Boni".
  • "Dark Elf" ("Schwarzelfe"): If the card really is called "Dark Elf", translate it to "Dunkelelf" (in the title and in the text). If it is "Black Elf", translate it to "Schwarzelf". The variation "Elfe" is more commonly associated to fairies then to elves.
  • "Vampire bats" ("Vampir Fledermäus") has an incorrect name. It's "Vampirfledermäuse", not "Vampir Fledermäus" (in the title and in the text).
  • "Nightmare"(?) ("Albtraummähre"): It would be helpfull to know the correct english name. The creature on the picture is a Nightmare. But I believe there is already an other card by that name. In any case "Albtraummähre" seems to be a very constructed name which can't be entirely correct. Wordly translated, it would be "Nightmare Mare"...
  • "Lady of Fate" ("Schicksalsdame") sounds wrong somehow. But I can't come up with a better translation right now. I will maybe add one later.
  • "Holy Avanger" ("Heilige Rächerin"): now that I think of it, this mistake might have happened on more cards before. The adjective "böse/böser/bösen" must be written without a capital letter if it is not at the beginning of a sentence.
  • "Miner" ("Bergmann") has a missing space. It's "...liegen, auf..."
  • "Anoited Robe" ("Gesalbte Robe"): "böse" without capital letter, as mentoined above.
  • "Book of Evilness" ("Buch der Teufelei"): "guter" without capital letter, like the above.
  • "Gold finder" ("Goldfinder") has a space too much. It's "Goldfinder", not "Gold finder".
  • "Shield of faith" ("Schild des Glaubens"): "böse", see above.
  • "Soul drinker" ("Seelentrinker"): "guter", see above.
  • "The winner takes it all" ("Der Sieger nimmt alles") (winning condition): Although the translation is formaly correct, this phrase is normaly translated to "Der Gewinner bekommt alles".
Astra 2016 年 1 月 7 日 下午 3:26
Sry Thamior even though I agree to most of your corrections, I have to disagree to some of your latest corrections, due to the fact that the original german boardgame version of Talisman uses a different wording (like the black elf correction / schwarz elfen example. I'm like 99% sure the original card in the germa n version is Dunkelelfe).

I'll need some time to look up the correct wording of those cards in the german version. I try to follow the Devs intention and keep Talisman-DE as close to the boardversion as possible when I suggest corrections.

I hope you don't get this critic wrong, because we really need some more helpers in the correction section ;-)

I'll give a detailed response to your corrections in a few days and I hope you are going to accept my invite to the German Talisman Group so we can discuss those corrections before sending them to directly to the Devs.

Again thanks for your hard work on those corrections. It's very appreciated!!!

Well, ok. So, if you want to keep as close to the boardgame version as possible, why not just compare every card to it's paper version? (or why didn't the Devs already do so?)
Nevertheless, although I still think "Elfe" is suboptimal, "Dunkelelfe" is still better then "Schwarzelfe".

I for my part can only look up the wordings of the base game of the boardgame version because I don't own the boardgame, (I wouldn't even have bought the digital version if I already owned the boardgame) but a friend of mine has the base game. For all those expansions I can only rely on what I find in the digital version and what I think was the original wording. So yes, some translations will not be the exact wording of the boardgame. Still I only try to correct those cards which are obviously wrong. So every card I mentoined (except maybe those with cosmetical errors) is in need of correction. And that's quite much. I'm still not even trough half of the cards, not to mentoin the board itself...

But I'll join your group and post my correction proposals there so you can look those cards up, if you want.

To the Devs, for the meantime: Almost no german words end on the letters -fi or -fl. So if you find a space after these letters on any card, you can be quite positive that it's an error and the word shouldn't end there. I really don't know how such a mistake could happen that often...
Astra 2016 年 1 月 8 日 上午 5:40
ok I checked the cards and those are the ones that already use the original wording:

The creature on the picture is a Nightmare. But I believe there is already an other card by that name. In any case "Albtraummähre" seems to be a very constructed name which can't be entirely correct. Wordly translated, it would be "Nightmare Mare"...

-If it's spelled "Albtraummähre" in game its wrong. The correct wording on the Card is "Alptraummähre"

"Lady of Fate" ("Schicksalsdame") sounds wrong somehow. But I can't come up with a better translation right now. I will maybe add one later.

-yea this sounds wierd but I'm afraid thats how the german translators decided to call her. So "Schicksalsdame" is already correct

"Imitator"(?) ("Imitator"): Is this card really called "Imitator" in english? I know this creature under the name "Mimic". If that's how the card is named in english, so you might call it "Mimik" in german. And then there is the cosmetic error of "Bonusse" mentoined earlier which I would write as "Boni".

-I'd prefer Mimic or Mimik too, but again already like in the original."Imitator".

"Dark Elf" ("Schwarzelfe"): If the card really is called "Dark Elf", translate it to "Dunkelelf" (in the title and in the text). If it is "Black Elf", translate it to "Schwarzelf". The variation "Elfe" is more commonly associated to fairies then to elves.

-And again she really is called "Schwarzelfe" on the card but any german speaker will get your point....

Just cruising through and not wanting to start a lengthy debate, but you might want to have a look here:

The English title is "Black Elf", and it depicts a female person (judging from the armor...), hence they went for the female noun "Elfe".

Yes, "Albtraum" is correct and "Alptraum" isn't. What Astra stated was that in the german boardgame version the card is translated to "Alptraummähre" and since the Devs seemingly try to stick to the boardgame version wherever possible, it would be consistent to write "Alptraummähre" although it is obviously wrong. I don't know why the translators of the Heidelberger Spieleverlag, which is the german publisher of the boardgame, translated the card in the way they did. In most fantasy systems and in the common canon the depicted creature is called "Nachtmahr" as well and so they translated the card by the same name in the base game but not the one in the Dungeons expansion.
So there are different options for the Devs:
  • Use the same translation as the boardgame version does, although it is obviously misspelled.
  • Do nothing as it is close to the boardgame version, but spelled correctly.
  • Stick to the common canon for fantasy creatures AND the same translation as the base game card by the same name and call it "Nachtmahr".

Intresting. Duden doesn't list "Mali" as a corrct plural form of "Malus", although it is very often used, even throughout this game. So maybe every use of "Mali" is to be corrected to "Malusse" to get a consistence and not the word "Bonusse".

In the common canon, an "Elfe" is not the female version of "Elf", but a female nature spirit (as also stated in the Duden article you linked), commonly with wings, similar to a fairy or a pixie, but normally larger. The correct female version of "Elf" according to the common canon would be "Elfin". Still, the discussion is obsolete for the translators of the Heidelberger Spieleverlag again decided to differ from the canon.

Don't get me wrong guys. I really wouldn't mind change typos or grammer errors like "Alptraummähre" (sic.). If I remeber correctly I changed a few of the grammer errors on some original cards too (like Alchemists "du bekommst Goldstücken".)
The german Talisman translation is not 1:1 perfect. I remember a spell with a different flavor text on it in the highland expansion and of course I report that.

I think when some of the original game mechanics got changed in DE (*cough*Scribe*cough*) it's only fair to correct wrong grammer too. I doubt anyone would mind that.

I mostly disagree to reword rules (unless they are done with google translate), or rename cards even if I think the suggestion is better (like Mimik or Dunkelelfe).

All I do is looking up the original Text on the cards in the boardversion and check the translation in english. If I happen to find errors on the original card I send them in to the German publisher to correct those in later prints.

P.S. Keep in mind that Talisman got published before the german grammer got changed in 1996/2004/2006 and 2011.And yes it's true the reformations now allow the use of the new plural Malusse, Bonusse. You can even say ein Atlas, zwei Atlasses now, instead of zwei Atlanten...

However the correct latin plural is: Bonus-Boni, Malus-Mali, Campus-Campi etc.
