Broken Sword unusable at Armoury
I visited the Armoury with the card "Broken Sword", but was unable to use it to purchase a Greatsword.

Broken Sword: If you visit the Armoury, you may pay 1 gold and discard this card to take a Greatsword from the armoury deck.

I visited Armoury and met the conditions of the text. I had the 1 gold, the weapon was still in stock and I no effects in play that would prevent my actions. However, I could not select the Greatsword for purchase or select the Broken Sword to discard.

The event "Discount Day" was in effect at the time.

I suspect this is caused by the game requiring you to have the full amount of gold to purchase the item, then applying the discount, which may make the other 'Broken item' cards also not function correctly. In my case I only had 1 gold in total.

Edit:
I revisited when I had 3 gold and the Discount Day effect had ended and was able to use the Broken Sword card to purchase the Greatsword for 1 gold.

You need to "use" the Broken Sword card while in the Armory, rather than attempt to buy a sword cheaply. I've had no issues using the Broken Sword while only having 1 gold.

I guess that means the Discount Day event makes the Broken Sword unusable.

I had a problem with the Broken Sword in the Armoury too. In my situation I entered the Armoury ready to convert my Broken Sword into a Greatsword with my 1 Gold but all I was offered was the right to buy a Stiletto. When I clicked on the Broken Sword card in my Inventory to activate it and so convert it into a Greatsword nothing happened and I still only got to buy a Stiletto. The game wouldn't even highlight the Broken Sword and left or right clicking on it did nothing. I ended up buying the Stiletto instead. Very annoying.

There needs to be an option presented on the right side of screen near the end turn icon that allows a player to turn a Broken Sword into a Greatsword or a Broken Armour into a Full Plate when in the Armoury, but only if such Objects are still available in the Armoury of course.

When you use the broken sword card in the armory, it automatically adds a great sword to your inventory, or should do anyway. Still makes you buy something if you have gold though.

You can not use the Broken Sword while "Visiting" the armoury. You have to use it before or after.

To repair the Broken Sword or Broken Armour objects you need to follow these steps:
1) You need to find one of the Broken Sword or Broken Armour objects by visiting the city map and opening adventure cards there.
2) After you find the the Broken Sword or Broken Armour object you need to have the required amount of gold - 1 gold for the Broken Sword and 2 gold for the Broken Armour.
3) After you have the gold and the Broken Sword or Broken Armour object you need to go to the Armoury space on the City board.
4) When you arrive at the Armoury and before you click the "Visit Armoury" Button on the right side of the screen you need to open the middle tab on the bottom of the screen called "Usable Cards" (the icon is 3 cards). When you open this tab you will see the Broken Sword / Broken Armour card there. Now you need to double-click the Broken Sword / Broken Armour card and you will repair the item.
If you follow these steps you will receive a very good sword and one of the best armours in the game for a very low gold price.
Good luck and may the dice gods be with you :)
