Game Freezing Constantly

Unplayable now for me, freezes about once a turn. Haven't played for a couple months but never had a problem before that, I'm playing single player on Win 7 64-bit and have tried verifying files and disabling steam overlay. Any suggestions?

Seeing similar problems here. Online games not launching properly - after the host starts the game the board appears but the game never moves on to the character drawing phase.

In another online game just now my Dark Cultist moved from the Plain Of Peril to the Mines, and the dice have not appeared to roll for the Mines. Everything else appears to be working - I can look at my inventory, chat, zoom in and out, and most of the other stuff. It's just hung up waiting for the dice and Roll button to appear.

Hey,
I'm having similar issues. I'm just playing standard single player game and it just hangs every few turns although it doesn't crash so there are no dump files in talisman folder, only thing I can do is alt+f4 and restart the game. But it is too annoying.
Playing on Win10 x64, 8gb ram.

have the same problem as marian on desktop, win7 32gb ram, 8 core amd

Same problem here - game hangs but doesn't crash. Playing SP and it always happens in AI turn. This makes the game unplayable I also have "Prologue" and it never happend there.
My specs.: Win 8.1 64bit, 16GB RAM, i7-4770K 3.50Ghz, GF GTX 780 Ti

This not help:

If the PC/Steam version crashes when you run the game, please right-click on the game on your Steam library and choose Properties and then select the Local Files tab. Choose 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache...' and let Steam check your local files. Run the game again and see if it still crashes.

If it still crashes, type this into the Windows Start Menu input box:
%appdata%
Then find and delete the Talisman folder. Run the game again and see if it still crashes.

If it STILL crashes, follow these steps -
In your Steam Library, right-click Talisman and select 'Properties'
Click 'Local Files'->Browse Local Files. Keep this folder open.
Uninstall Talisman.
Delete all files from the 'Talisman' folder you opened before.
Reinstall Talisman.

Guys, I've talked to devs and it seems the issue is located and going to be fixed in a next patch(Thanks Matt!). In the meantime there's one workaround which worked for me.
Run the game in window mode, and whenever game freezes minimize it, and then go back to the game, it should unfreeze.

Just purchased this game and have experienced the freeze. @Marian's suggestion on window mode and then minimize does help while we wait for the patch.

I just purchased the game and have the same problem with game freezing aobut once per round. I was trying to learn the game by playing alone, but its constantly freezes. This is on a Windows 10 64-bit system

We've just began beta testing all of the changes and fixes we've implemented, the patch will come shortly after this in about a week or two.
