When combined with the face-up card that was already on the space I then saw this:

And after my character defeated the Bandit the log showed this:
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=795812439
The log showed that the facedown Adventure card was my previously cast Barrier Spell. Although it appeared facedown as an Adventure card it was actually a Spell card. My character did not get to Encounter this card.
So this shows that the Travelling Bazaar dumps face-up Spells on the Basic Game Adventure Deck, but should it ? There are some character abilities and cards that allow a character to secretly look at the top card of the Adventure Deck. The purpose is to allow characters to secretly decide whether they want to Encounter such a secretly sighted card or not, among other things. A Spell card that secretly sits on top of an Adventure Deck, even if it will be discarded once drawn, nonetheless blocks a character with the ability to secretly look at the actual top card of that Adventure from seeing the real top Adventure card that can actually be encountered.
Also the hidden spell that sits on top of the Adventure Deck will, I suspect, be treated incorrectly as an Adventure card for other game purposes like opening the Treasure Chest that gives a character the chance to take an Object from five or 10 Adventure cards drawn randomly from the top of the Adventure Deck, for example. I haven't seen this but it seems reasonable to assume this.
So should a Spell card be placed on top of the Adventure Deck by the Travelling Bazaar card or any other means ? And again should the Travelling Bazaar card be able to take face-up spells in the first place ?

The face down Barrier Spell is now on the Cursed Glade where I drew it on the previous Turn.

Here is a screenshot that shows the game on a much later Turn. The Barrier Spell is still on the Cursed Glade and can be seen underneath the log.

The same Turn but without the open log to show the Barrier Spell still on the Cursed Glade more clearly.

I personally believe the Spell card should instead be discarded when Travelling Bazaar is drawn and encountered. Spells can only be cast per the rules, and drawing and encountering cards from an adventure deck does not qualify as being cast. If not that, then the Spell drawn from the adventure deck should be added to the drawing players Spells inventory, if they have space for it, and otherwise discarded if they do not. But I think it simply being discarded before being placed on an adventure deck is the simpler solution.
This particular issue was eliminated in future expansions like the Deep Realms, where it is forbidden to cast Spells that remain on a space. This is because on the Bridge spaces, all cards are shuffled back into the Bridge deck, no matter their origin. It's also the reason Terrain cards cannot be placed there as well. This prevents such strange occurences in the first place.
