Failing that, could you let us know if Talisman is creating any dump files for you?
You can find these by going to My Computer > C: (Local Disk) > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Talisman. Here you should be able to find files with .MDMP extensions if you do have crash files being generated.

Got it!
Could you try the following?
Since the last update you may have conflicting save data which is tanking your launch, if you follow the above this should clean your PC of all Talisman data and should get it working/rule this out as the cause.
I will give it a try and report back.
Game still crashes on lauch.
"Unhandled exception at 0x629B81E7 (d3d9.dll) in Talisman.exe: 0xC0000096: Privileged instruction."
Which apparently is
> d3d9.dll!CSwapChain::Reset(struct _D3DPRESENT_PARAMETERS_ *,struct D3DDISPLAYMODEEX const *,int,int) Unknown
Otherwise the error is
"Unhandled exception at 0x629B81D1 (d3d9.dll) in Talisman.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0xB4F72824."
> d3d9.dll!CSwapChain::Present(struct tagRECT const *,struct tagRECT const *,struct HWND__ *,struct _RGNDATA const *,unsigned long) Unknown
Have emailed details, plus images of the call stack & disassembly window in the off chance they give a clue.
