Fireball spell & Werewolf

I rolled a 4 on the Werewolf chart and had to fight him (Strength 8) but I couldn't use my Fireball spell against him

Hmm.. I don't think this is a bug because Fireball can only be used on a CREATURE.

A CREATURE is defined as:

A creature is any encounter (other than a character) that attacks with Strength or Craft.
This may include Enemy cards and also Events, Strangers, Places, Spells, and board spaces.

Since rolling a 4 on the Werewolf chart is none of these, I would say the spell doesn't have a valid target and cannot be cast.

The Werewolf is a Creature. When a character has to Battle the Werewolf then that is an Encounter that is other than with a character that is "attacking with Strength" so that satisfies the definition of a Creature.

and i have been able to assassinate him as well as other tactics that only work against an encountered enemy-not that it matters-fireball should be able to be used against him-the sentinel, the lord of darkness and the eeyrie king-but since firelands a lot of spells that used to work against those enemies no longer seem to

vidal22, what do you think of the Firelands Expansion as it is now ? Is it playable or is it largely a mess and therefore largely unplayable ? I ask this because I haven't purchesed it yet. I am holding off on buying it until I believe that it is worth playing.

it adds some needed challenges to the game and as far as bugs-it isn't as bad itself with the exception of a few cards-it honestly seems like the update messed up the main game more than firelands game. So personnally-i like it and what it adds, but i would probably wait till at least the patch fix comes out this week before i would get it-just to see what happens
