As for the error, restart Steam to see if it helps.
It works fine windowed though, but seems to want to start up full screen
It starts in a window for a split second, then automatically goes to full screen mode regardless of what settings I picked so the spanner doesn't even show up at all.
I'll try deleting EVERYTHING Talisman related and see if that fixes it
No luck. Narrowed it down to it starting up at 50hz when my monitor's 60hz and up. So, any way to force Talisman to run at a specific refresh rate?
my guess is that when we r trying to get full screen on old monitors it sets by default some high resolution (over 1280x800) and it can t be displayed.
when i m checking resolutions on my ordinary PC with 24" 1920x1200 can t find any regular ones for olders monitors. Maybe you should streech resolution range, and add some lowers like 1024x768. 2nd idea is first set resolution then apply it (now it resolution is automaticly changed when you press button)
Now this is where it gets interesting given that it's a totaly fresh system and my laptpop is a widescreen one by defaut.
On my win 8.1 laptop, it's starting up at 2048 by something else. Fullscreen by default on both machines. For kicks I installed it on a third machine. Exact same issue even with a brand new monitor that can display 2048 by whatever at 50 or 59 hertz.
Same out of range or resolution issues on an old CRT, a 2012 laptop screen set and a 2013 LCD display.
Am I missing something or plain SOL on this game? I can't find a way to manually set a res outside of the game (which'd let me get to the options and set an actual, workable res) or make it start windowed (ditto)
Thanks,
-Mat
