What happens if you encounter both Cerberus and Lord of the Pit?
Suppose Cerberus is face-up at the Portal of Power. Prophecy is in play, so you draw 1 extra card. You land on the Portal of Power and draw Lord of the Pit, and now you have to fight both Cerberus and Lord of the Pit.

Now what? haha... has this ever happened to anyone?
I think you should be forced to fight both using the same value... so either Strength (8+7) or Craft (8+7). Never had this happen though... but it can!

(Even harder scenario... Eastern Dragon + Lord of the Pit! Both attack you with your lower stat?)

Both Cerberus and the LotP allow you to choose Str or Craft, nothing stated on the cards requires you to make the same choice for each. If you didn't want to face 15 Str or 15 Craft, you could freely split them up into 1 Battle and 1 Psychic Combat. You would then Encounter them in the order they were drawn from the deck.

Eastern Dragon does not give you a choice, but you could choose your superior stat against the other opponent.

Yeah, I don't see a problem here....?????

I meant it being more of a coding issue. First we would have to decide whether all enemies with the same encounter number MUST fight you together, no matter how it happens. But suppose we decide against that (as you suggest), and rule that in certain cases depending on the card ability it is possible to fight them in succession rather than "as one," the current coding automatically encounters enemies with the same number "as one."

So if Cerberus and Lord of the Pit were encountered together, how would Nomad code that? Would you choose Strength/Craft for Cerberus and then Strength/Craft for Lord of the Pit? If you ended up choosing the same value for both, would they both fight you together? And therefore, would you have to make the choice for both enemies before you began any fight?

More of a thought experiment for Nomad really... the ruling is important sure but the implementation regardless of the ruling could be tricky.

This already works. If you encounter them together, you're asked how you want to fight each one. If you choose the same value, they fight you together, if not then they fight separately.

Groovy!

well that means that there can be up to 4 combats in one turn, cerberus battle, lord of pit psychic combat, normal battle, (say dragon) normal psychic combat (say demon)
