Relatar um problema com a tradução
I've noticed this stuttering too, particulalry when it has a large number of graphic objects to handle. A couple of examples:
When Ragnarok was drawn with a board that was pretty full of stuff the game froze for 7-8 seconds before finally resolving.
On the Crown of Command I had multiple mules/porters/bags full of stuff. I killed another character which also had a lot of stuff in his possession. Picking up all of his dropped stuff and then having to sort through dozens of things to discard down to my carrying limit made the interface somewhat jerky to use. A problem with scrolling back and forth through all of those graphic objects I suppose.
Which brings up another complaint that I've mentioned before. I still don't like the way picking up objects and dropping excess ones is handled when you land on a space with a pile of stuff.
There's now 2 ways this is handled in the game - whether you just killed someone or whether you just found a pile of staying laying around. If you just killed another character you can pick up everything, then decide what you want to discard to get to your carrying limit. This is my preferred way of doing it
If you find a pile of stuff you're forced to pick up and discard one at a time if you're at your carrying capacity, in the order the game chooses for you. In this case the mules or porters might be encountered later in the pile after you've already been forced to drop some good items. This goes against the grain of the board game where you can grab the mules and porters first, then the other items in any order you choose so you can keep the best stuff. I'd like this to be fixed to be more in line with the previous paragraph.
The AI still seems to make some pretty daft decisions. I've played against several AI Swashbucklers and they've never chosen to draw a second card on a Fields space, despite this being the main strength of the character. Also, playing with the House Rule that lets you take Treasures for completing Warlock quests, the AI always seem to choose Talismans instead, even if they already have one.
I echo the comments of others above in finding the Lord of Darkness a little overpowered. In order to beat him by the required 8 points to warp straight to the CoC you need to have a *minimum* Strength or Craft of *15* (minumum meaning you have to roll a 6 and him a 1, which has only a 3% chance of happening). To do so reliably you need more like 20+, and considering 10 is usually enough to win the game conventionally, it's difficult to see this happening without a player making a deliberate point of doing so.
You could reduce these numbers of course using a spell, ability and/or magic item. Which I suppose is the point, but even then you need a hugely powerful character: an Assassin for example, using Assassinate and the spell Weakness, could reduce the LoD's score to 9 post-roll, meaning you could warp to the CoC by rolling a 6 with a strength of "only" 11 - still enough to go for the middle.
I also think the dungeon solves a flaw in Talisman gameplay in that it's too easy to stall in your development due to dumb luck. It really sucks getting to 7 or 8 strength/craft well ahead of everyone else, you can smell victory, and then the cards refuse to cooperate making it a huge ordeal just to level up a few more points. The dungeon removes that problem.
What I dont like is Aegis. It's supposed to be the epic armor FFS, much like the Bag of Holding is the best mule/bag etc in the game. What you get is something that would have been good when you entered the dungeon, or started out. It would have been a cool base adventure card, or Dungeon card not so much a TREASURE. Same with the life elixer.
Later you can buy a OP suit of armor for gold in the city. But most of my complaints concerning Talisman are all about that particular expansion.
If you finger of death the Lord, can you warp to the CoC - even though you don't roll for attack? What I've found does work well with the Lord is the Toadify spell. Theoretically, using it you could warp straight to the crown with a S as low as 4, though again the rolls would have to go your way, and getting through the dungeon would be tricky with a S that low.
Anyway, I am really having fun with this game. Thank you devs! Looking forward to the upcoming expansions! I'm thinking about getting an IPAD so I can play while on the train. Gotta ask the wife first of course.
Many thanks for your purchase and kind comments! It's much appreciated.
A stronger opponent might be doing a Warlock's Quest who will then clearly make a run for the crown. You might be too weak to challenge them and need a Talisman too. With time not on your side go to the dungeon. It's a great (if risky) way to grind for trophies to build your strength and craft with a Talisman at the end (if you've not got random treasures selected) and you'll be teleported to the inner region if you beat the Lord of Darkness by a big enough margin.
You might not be lagging in the strength/craft stakes and might already have a Talisman but still want to have an edge over your opponents. I've gone in there at strength 11 and come out with strength 16.
Or as I did yesterday go in there with a Toadify spell in hand. If you make past all of the intervening enemies (Teleport, Magic Carpet or Riding Horse help immensely), cast Toadify on the Lord of Darkness and getting up to the Crown is pretty easy if you've already buffed up your Strength a bit.
