HTF does "Queue Spell" work?!?
The stupid "Queue Spell" does not work most of times. It seems completely random. When I queued a spell that was supposed to be cast "the spell would pass on by one character after another. The spell often would NOT trigger, at all. How does it work exactly? Is there a way to make sure the spell would be cast, to actively cast it, instead of just queuing it??

If the spell passes by, there was no opportunity to cast it.

Either the character had the Amulet that prevents spells cast on them, or no fitting situation turned up.

I think you could try to cast the spell from usable cards during the timer 'window' (when the thing ticks around the character icons).
It is also more polite not to use abbreviations that imply swear words when asking a question.

A queued spell will be cast as soon as it is legal to cast it. If there are no legal targets (like no players with any +Strength tokens for a Syphon Strength spell) then it will not be cast until a legal target appears.

Also, if you're carrying the Amulet, then you can't cast any spells until you drop it. And if the only possible target is carrying the Amulet then you have no legal targets either.

Also, the Ninja can't cast Mesmerism (since he can't have Followers) and other characters may have certain spells that they can't cast either due to a character ability.

Some people have neither manners, nor do they care how immature and/or illiterate they look to others. A post on a forum isn't going to change that. :)

The OP is actually way better than some other stuff I have seen here.

Mesmerism allows you to "take" a follower of your choice from any character. By "take" I would interpret that to mean primarily remove a follower. If you're a Ninja or have the Hag, you wouldn't be able to add the follower to your collection. But nothing on the card says you must be able to have the ability to add the taken follower to your pile. In those situations I would reckon the follower is dropped onto the space you currently occupy,

Just an interpretation of the Mesmerism spell. Not saying I'm right. Just throwing it out for consideration.

To add: IRL, I could take something from you, but not necessarily keep it. Guess it all depends on the how literally we read the cards.

I think this would not work. If you want to use Mesmerizm you actually have to "take a follower" if thats not possible the spell target is not legal imo.
This is like trying to use Alchemise without having any objects.
Sure it sucks to get stuck with spells, but if there is no legal target to "resolve" the whole spell it cannot be used.

Astra - good point.

Check out the Spell Guide that someone (I forget who) created to explain queuing and all Spells up to Frostmarch.

I think I agree with PepsiDad on this "mesmerism" thing. I think the ninja should be able to cast it and leave the follower on the board. To me it's like stealing an item I can't carry. I would simply drop it.
Fortunately this is not permitted. The Fantasy Flight Games FAQ gives the Mesmerism Spell as an example regarding this matter!

The Ninja can never cast the Mesmerism Spell.....

Talisman Core Rules P.16: "Characters are not permitted to take cards that they may not have. For example, if a character may not have Followers, he may not take one by casting the Mesmerism Spell on another character."
Thanks Astra!
