The Highland Expansion Out Now!

The Highland is here! Brave the cold, steep slopes of The Highland region and confront the Eagle King! This new expansion adds a new board extension, six new characters and over 100 new cards.

New achievements! The Highland comes with 11 new achievements for your achievement hunting pleasure.

Cross-platform multiplayer - online games can now be played across PC, MacOSX, iOS, Android and Kindle.

Shape Shifter - this new character is available to purchase. The Shape Shifter can change into other characters and use their special abilities!

Special thanks to everyone who has helped with the testing and localisation of this update.


The issue with the AI not knowing how to cast Weakness is fixed, as well as a general improvement in how the AI uses objects and spells. Many other tweaks, fixes and improvements are included too.

Here is what he does: "The Astrologer will remain here for the rest of the game. Draw 3 Adventure Cards, place one facedown in front of you, and discard the other cards. You may place your facedown Adventure Card on top of its deck at the start of any character's turn."

Are you sure you got the wildlander on another space before encountering the astrologer? It seems to me when you encountered the astrologer you picked the "Wildlander" card( if thats not the case wich card did you pick with astrologer?).
On every turns start you will have the Astrologer picture flashing among the usable cards (wich indicates you may use the facedown card). If you use it you will just put back the card on its respective deck.

Either way, I could not use the Wildlander card even after I clicked on the Astrologer. Clicking on the Astrologer did not do anything. The card was unusuable.

Don't get me wrong, I don't doubt that happened to you. I just try to understand what happened exactly, because I ecountered the Astrologer many times now and it always worked fine for me.

We've just released a small update to fix the blank card issue, plus a tweak to AI valuations of Talismans and a bug where an AI Alchemist could get stuck viewing his objects.

Playing with the latest patch released this morning. Leprechaun AI has 3 Talismans, a full inventory and refuses to drop a Talisman in favor of a Wand of Dragonfire.

Near the end of the game, I'm at the Crown of Command and have killed off the Leprechaun. Genie moves onto Leprechaun's dropped items, grabs all 3 Talismans on the space for a total of 4 Talismans, and then proceeds to drop several useful items in favor of keeping the Talismans.

We tried to play 4player game 3 times today and all times it kept kicking people out constantly. Really hard to have patience with this game when this is happening. Is there a secret to what server we should be using? We are spread all over the world. Is no one else having this disconnect issue? It has gotten much worse since the Highlands Expansion

With new expansion game is without major bugs(spells) For me this is much better.
At previous version: Martyr could use 'wand of dragonfire' twice after sacrifice(-3 lifer per encounter) ; Knight with 'anoined robe' could add + 3 to roll for Armour. Now this anomalies is fixed too.

It was a private game with people I know really well. Everyone was getting knocked out and desperately trying to get back in before the AI did something stupid. Also when the whole thing crashes (everyone disconnects) most people lose something - usually a spell. The disconnects seem to happen a lot around spell use or buying or selling a spell, but not always. You can tell when someone is about to disconnect, because no actions are available to the active player. This doesn't seem to happen when there are only 2 players, just 3 or more. Would be willing to set up a game with you and some of the others and see if we can resolve. But can't do it this morning (US - PST). Will message you and see if we can arrange a time.

Yeah, the Astrologer card is too confusing. Now when it comes up for me, I hit Cancel instead of Encounter, because I don't know how to deal with it.
