troll domination :)

my last mp games were all won by the troll :) so the first game i rolled a troll and dominated from the beggining to the end. on my second game my friend rolled a troll but the game was close one with my other friend who played a ghoul or something. troll still kicked our butt :) my third game wich we played yesterday i rolled a monk. i was dominating from the beggining but thx to some really bad rolls and unlucky adventure cards i died. i rerolled a troll. caught up withe everyone fast. was ableto reach the dwarf who was allready killed other 2 players at the crown of command. pounded him to the meat pulp cause he was like 4 strenght and i was like 12 or 14. so enyone else experienced troll domination? :) or it's just my luck :)

Troll can be good, but he has never dominated in our boardgames with all expansions characters in the mix. I played and won a game as the Elf/priest against the Troll. Those are weaker characters. Stay away from the troll is your best option. The liklihood of drawing the Troll will diminish as you get more expansions....

All the characters are strong. The troll just has a really easy strength to play to. The troll is vulnerable to any spirits and with only 1 fate is prone to accidents like becoming a toad or dying to the Reaper. He is also the whipping boy of any character that can engage in psionic combat.

honestly i find it hard to play as mage character as starting with 2 strenght means getting defeated by 75% of the monsters of the game,i especialy don't like the priest as he can't even buy a sword to pull himself up to 3 at least and once he reach the crown of command can't even initiate psychic combat to defend himself

For now as a new player (maybe will change for me over time) it seems like characters with with higher strength seem to have a much easier time compared to low strength ones. Just seems like getting craft up from cards and events happen a lot more than strength ones, so it's faster to start covering the weakness as you go while also having a easier time in the start.

look the troll simply just owns everything. He has 6 lives so even if he encounters a few wraiths he can regenerate on a 6, not to mention being neutural can buy healing/Fate, as well as combat a player through brute force (Str) taking the cross adventure card and banish any spirit the troll encounters.

yes... but better for this toad to be the fastest toad on earth. or on talisman atleast because when troll loses to this toad he's after her...:) and he's like 6 lives and toad cant defend with craft.

Not all the Talisman characters were created equal - I don't mind so much, in the board game everyone has a random character, sometimes you'll get a better one sometimes you won't, it's all the luck of the draw. Of course, all the other players can gang up n the Troll if they wish!

Well all characters directed to str are far more superior then the others. There are much more str enemies in the deck. Even the road to the CoC is, besides one field, designed for str characters which is not quite right if I can say.
As for Troll is the best character in the game I'd say not quite. Of course he's great advantage is 6 roll. Can be really frustrating but Assassin can have lower str at the beginning but his assassination skill is really deadly and he can easy wipe out Troll for the most of the time. From the Reaper exp Dark Cultist and her dice roll after each win can boost her up very much very quickly.
I'm already playing as the Druid and he's spell recovery and changing alignment is very helpful.

2 out of 3 characters u mentioned are still not in the digital version of the game. but i get your point. i don't think that troll is the best char in the game, but still for now is one of the best and straight forward

The Troll HAH!!!

Totally bossed him with the merchent recently. Landed on him on CoC and traded a water bottle for his sword of light. I then proceeded to own him with it. Good times.

In all seriousness though the Troll is a very nice straight forward character to play and dependant on the luck of the draw and the mix of other players the game will either go very bad for him or very well.

I have won and lost with the Troll in equal measures.

Nope. He is good, no denying it. But you haven't played enough Talisman if you honestly believe that. You sound like a certain Wolverine guy who I havent seen around for a while....awesome trolling...
