The Walking Stick (Highland) / Gilded Compass (Sacred Poll) - Allows add 1 or substrack 1 from a movement die, so it helps us to enter a space we need.
The Hourglass (City) - One extra turn at the CoC sometimes can decide who will win the game.
wand (for spell casting)
and my fav poulterghiest for area farming (such as hidden valley, / runes)
Very underestimated Holy lance is very powerful with the Dragons expansion. This +3 str sometimes gives another chance :)
Last one depends on the character you're playing. If it is not craft targeted Amulet is awesome item. You're actually untouchable by other players.
What I don't like. Sword (+1 str), Axe (+1str), Helmet (6), Shield (5-6), Strength potion (+2 str). They're just not enough even in the beginning. Strenght potion onlyuseonce only for +2 str isn't too attractive. Defensive items are just annoying for me. Mostly 1-3 on my dice in crucial moments :D
Armor (4-6) I used to pick up but it is still my first item to drop if anything better comes in my way ;)
The fate-stealer sword is the best sword. Gain's fate like crazy and you can re roll everything without fear.
The magic ring: 1+ Str and + Cft is great, especially at the start of the game.
Magic Carpet- as theif u can land on anyone and steal, or you can land on any card you want on a 6 even to pick up cards at ruin/hill spaces.
Wand- as explained before infinte spells is deadly
Orb of Knowledge- pick and discard items. Most powerful item in game, can deny items from other players you dont want revolving around the game to be potentially taken from you.
Worst items
Runesword- a regular 1 gold sword gives +1 to your strenth and axe is even better, only difference is it leaches life and you have to actually go out of your way to find the player. Maybe useful when fighting at Crown if you get that far in stats and other perks.
Crystal- that silly crystal that adds 1, craft (useful early but is weak stat wise in comparison to other magic objects)
Amulet- its ok, it has its uses but coudnt decide on a decent 3rd worst object. Amulet can be really bad if your a craft spellcasting character or really good if your the troll for example.
quick mention; Rod of Ruin is perhaps the most deadly usable object in the game without question. You can smash peoples stats and prevent them from getting the crown.
It can be any item you can think of and can come from any of the expansions :)
