Two cards (Wishing Well and Gambling Hall) plus the Monk were here so I used Hopper's ability again to move once more onto Sanctuary Square. Wanting to avoid the Madcap (again) I used Hopper once more and, as last time, was pushed into the High Temple. I had no Gold but I had the Panhandler who forced the Chivalric Knight there to give me a Gold and switched to following him. I then was given the choice to encounter the space or the C-Knight.
Methinks Hopper is seriously broken. :-{)
I don't know if it's just the Sanctuary Square space or elsewhere too. It worked normally on the City Gate, allowing me to move to either the City space on the main board or the Square Of Kings. I wonder what might have happened if I didn't have the Panhandler to force the C-Knight to give me a Gold to use on the High Temple or if there was no other character in the High Temple at all. I was forced into the H-Temple with no other choice given.
The game will not allow you to progress if you enter the armoury with just enough gold to fix a broken item and are unable to make a purchase afterwards. It does not crash the game and can be worked around by making sure one has enough gold for a purchase but it is not working as intended.
Rules issue: If a character lands on the Pathfinder, but has to miss his next turn for some reason, that character will not be given the option to teleport on his next available turn. (The talisman FAQ in the Tavern section seems to indicate that the teleport option should remain available until the character has an opportunity to use it.)
Rules issue: If a character with the Whiskers (cat) pet follower lands on a space with its full number of cards on it already, the character is not able to use Whiskers' ability to draw an extra card. (Note: my character also had the Field Slayer follower, so I experienced this issue on spaces with 2 cards already on them.)
Rules issue: The Orb of Knowledge does not allow you to replace any extra cards drawn using Whiskers (cat pet).
Update on broken sword issue:
A character who has no gold remaining after paying to fix the broken sword or armor in the armory is able to cancel out of the subsequent purchase--when I tried this, my game did not get stuck. In my experience, the freeze occurred when other characters were in the armory, and a character with 2 gold was allowed to encounter the space and view the items for sale. The price of cheapest item remaining was 3 gold (due to the cheap items being sold out), and there was no option to cancel the impossible purchase and encounter a character instead.
it is there even after fresh install of windows 10 and talisman
minor problem : i can not get the game full screen
Yes we had. However I tried local game Vampiress vs Valkyrie and this bug didn't replay. Valkyrie ressurected many followers after Vampiress's sacrifice (included mules from adventure and stable decks)
I cannot confirm this. I started a game with 6 Knights, and tried to replicate this but without success. All Knights worked as intended. Here the details:
Knights attacking each other - not:
Even though it happened a lot that an AI-Knight moved to a space with one or two other Knights, they never attacked each other. Also, I (Human Player Knight) was never given the option to attack a Knight on a space I just moved to.
Knights not adding to dice rolls when praying - not:
Red Knight-AI moved to Temple, rolled 7 (confirmed in game log) and got a Spell. You only get a Spell at the Temple for rolling 8-9, so the Knight added +1 for praying.
At 2 other times, other Knights were praying at the Chapel. One rolled a 2 and did not add anything - because even adding +2 would have gained him nothing. The other Knight rolled a 1 - same thing.
Knights in Jail producing gold - not:
Green Knight (0 gold) was thrown into Jail. Rolled 1 for trying to escape and lost a life. He did not produce any gold, nor did he change the dice roll.
Right now, my best guess is, you either experienced a serious 1-time-glitch, or the Bloodbath house rule was on (maybe it was left checked from a previous game?).
I have repeated the bug you mentioned and passed it on to out loverly programming elves.
I'm afraid I've not been able to repeat this one, can you give any more information? You sure you didn't have an incomplete warlocks quest?
Since I am not the only one to see such bugs and I use XP too as many gamers of Talisman still do it would be nice that all those bugs could be fixed once and for all...
Verified. I entered the Armory with 2 Gold, a Broken Sword and a Broken Shield. Before encountering the space I spent 1 Gold to fix the Sword and take a Greatsword. With 1 Gold left I encountered the space. The only weapon for 1 Gold is the Stiletto, and both had already been sold. I'm stuck showing the current inventory available (starting with the Bow for 2 Gold) and can't afford to buy any of it or cancel or back out. Will have to reload and restart my turn and do something else.
Patience chap!
