I think.... the last expansion "The firelands expansion" is the best. Add an awesome gameplay :TalismanWizard::BlueTalisman::TalismanMinstrel:

personally i wouldn't waste my $ on anything this company sells - this game is broken & they aren't fixing it - look at the # of bug reports & lack of response from the developers.

Oh my the drama.
You see new bugs because they're still adding expansions.

Fixes are released with every new expansion and sometimes with a patch between two full releases.

It is really a matter of taste and very subjective..... Personally Firelands i my least favorite lol - I would recommend the corner expansions - Highlands, Dungeon, and City first. Also love bloodmoon and Nether Realms.... i would say play some online games with these expansion on and see which ones you like best :) - of course with the sale going on you cna get the whole shebang for not that much :)

For me, you should start with the Reaper and Sacred Pool expansions because those two even the playing field a little bit and help clean cards off the board. Afterwards you might add corner regions.

Indeed 4 post Fireland patches, yes 4 this seems to be a good news, but the truth is that each of this updates was full with issues and new bugs.

But i remember also the days when game breaking bugs where in the game for months.

Since Nomad enlarged there beta group i hve some hope that the day one release will not be a bug fest.

Lol - have been playing so long and always had these I forget they are expansions.... I would have to agree with this, they are pretty essential imho

Thanks for the suggestions guys
My six year old son, my wife, and I play the game together, and I just wanted to add some more variety to the base game.

Not a problem. You will GREATLY aprreciate from the Reaper expansion Closed Shop (Which discards Places on the board) and Curfew (Which discards Strangers). The Sacred Pool makes it a lot more fair for Neutral alignment chatacters.

Yeah, I think I will at least go with Reaper and Sacred Pool to start.

Anything but Firelands or Nether, I like both but they aren't what you want to start with. Firelands in particular can be absolutely brutal if it's the only enabled expansion.

Blood Moon adds a Day and Night mechanic where enemies get -1 to their attack score during the day and +1 to their attack score during the night. This shifting difficulty scale makes hard enemies slightly easier and easy enemies slightly harder depending on whether it's Day or Night - I like this addition.
