So that item can only be discarded by 1) resurrecting, and then 2) visiting chapel or graveyard
It doesn't matter where you land, you have to draw a card from the veil deck.
Edit: oops cross posting with Potterman
Aren't those cards "Soul-bound"?
If so, then these items are supposed to remain with you when you resurrect, and then visit the location.
If not, then those cards are only supposed to remain whilst you are a Ghost, and are discarded when you resurrect.
There's currently no space to discard cursed objects as a Ghost.
From the looks of it, none of this is weird - it's all part of the design intention for these items.
items are ditched when you go from ghost to character (or vice versa), not discarded as far as I remember
I meant ditched, my bad.
The design itself doesn't seem that weird. It's just a cursed soulbound item. However, the Soulbound trait is pictorial rather than written, it's easy to miss.
I believe the weirdness might come more from the Realm of Souls representation itself - because it uses the same board, it's too easy to forget that EVERY SPACE becomes a Draw 1 Veil Card space, so when you land on the space that would be the Chapel, you aren't actually landing on the Chapel.
A better representation of the realm of souls would have been much more desirable than just a simple graphics change...
