What expansions go well together?
I recently purchased The Firelands, and found it a little too intense by itself in a 3 players game, so I tried it again with The City and The Dungeon with 6 players and I found it more manageable. I am going to be trying The Dragon soon, but I expect it to be difficult by itself. So what expansions do you think go well together?

Other than that, you can play with pretty much all the expansions together and it's not too disturbing

Thanks for the tip. I am currently trying Firelands with deck expansions but without corner expansions. It is a lot easier with extra deck cards than with corners.

Corners also make Firelands easier because you have more room to navigate - same thing for Dragon expansion.

Yes, but then I do not get to see the Firelands cards... the deck expansions allow me to draw Firelands cards without setting the whole board on fire, whereas remaining in corners prevents me from seeing any of the Firelands cards at all.

Generally I use most of them, but I only use one of Firelands, Dragon, Harbinger or Cataclysm.

My roommate plays with all of them, though that occasionally leads to crashes and errors which ruin his games. I hope the developers fix those bugs.

Also, compared to previous editions of Talisman, the expansions don't always mesh that well together. In particular I find that Dragon doesn't always play nicely with others.

I recommend Dragon, Harbinger and Fireland. :TalismanGhoul:

I do got some Mad Dog .357 on my desk in work. I'm currently mixing it with Doritos spicy salsa.

I've removed my answer as the topic answer just in case any bright-eyed, fresh faced newcomers have just got all those expansions in a bundle and are about to embark on their first game of Talisman using the advice of this thread not realising those expansions make for Talisman: Hard Mode.
