There is definitely no ressemblance at all. You can listen to the Diablo 1 OST to compare :p there are only a few tracks in it

However, the music does have some vibes that sound alike Diablo 2 OST

Eoin - some of that music is DEFINITELY inspired from Diablo. I thought the same thing and googled to see if anyone thought the same thing and I came upon your post here. The main song in Tristram has some of the same notes from the wind instrument in Talisman Digital Edition - see 2:56min on the Tristram song at this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnMR6SOBa9k and then see 0:18min from the Talisman Digital Edition https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVkjM64gw-w for the same wind instrument playing that same note twice, albeit elongated. Let's try to keep this on the downlow, though - Blizzard has a veritable effton of money compared to asmodee and probably the music's creator, Mattias, and I personally am glad for the nostalgia!
