New player. Not sure what I'm doing yet.. ..

So I drew Fairy. Which grants me a choice as a good character. I chose to encounter the card but then nothing happened.

Is this because I've just drawn the card and it now waits for then next person to land on the space to activate it and not me? If so why was I given the opportunity to encounter it only for nothing to happen?

Very confused.

Do you have a screenshot? Are you sure you didn't have any alignment change?

My bad. I thought the green background was for good alignment. Turns out I was actually neutral.
