You say Steam does not start. Can you open a console and start steam from there ? Once you have the console, just type steam and press enter

In general I really don't recommend Linux at all if you use it just for playing. Windows is way more user friendly ; Linux is great but only when you know what you are doing, or are willing to learn through hours of trial and error. Running video games on Linux is complicated.
Playonlinux gives me error at last step when try to lunch:
"Error in main
Steam_talisman crashed
Select its shortcut and click debug in the side panel to get more details"
After debugging:
[05/21/18 18:50:30] - Running wine-1.7.24 Steam.exe (Working directory : /home/sandra/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/Steam_talisman/drive_c/Program Files/Steam)

I will try to make it run on my Linux but my best guess is that it's not compatible at all. Possibly because of the addition of the Azmodee support
EDIT : i tried it on my end and i can't even launch Steam using Wine. So yeah, RIP :)
any help would be appreciated.
I manage to start the game using Kubuntu 18.04, installing latest wine through software center, installing winetricks, then installing steam through winetricks, lastly download game through steam. It is working without music.
Best regards
Of course i can, it was my first thought but installing whole windows just for one program for me will be be disappointing.
I’m sure you don’t appreciate me saying so, but I just don’t understand Linux as an only operating system. As a secondary or even primary OS with a secondary commercial OS for when you “need” it sure, but limiting yourself to just Linux, especially if you like games is bold and perhaps admirable even, but also foolhardy. If cost is a factor there are ways to get Windows really cheaply. If you work in government or education for instance they practically give it away (and the Professional version too). Otherwise, I heard Microsoft still (though not officially) permits free upgrades to version 10, and they’ve been progressively toning down the spying features (plus you can always configure routers and firewalls).
It’s so easy to partition a hard drive for dual OSs. I’m a fully bi Mac-Windows user myself. There are benefits-advantages and disadvantages to both operating systems, but for gaming it’s almost entirely Windows. That’s just the reality at present.
easy, its my second computer. :)
This is due to the fact that the game is looking for Windows Media Player codecs in order to play its mp3 files.
Perhaps this will be fixed some day, but right now I have found a workaround. Alas it's not something that I expect anyone to be able to do.
What I did was downloading "dzip.exe" from this link: http://aluigi.org/misc/dzip.zip, which is a packer\unpacker for the ".dz" package files that talisman uses.
In the game directory under "Talisman\dz\pc\" I extracted the contents of "pc-music_h-35976.dz", which are 8 files named "GamePlay1.mp3" and so on.
I converted them all into "wave" format and then changed their extentions to ".mp3". After that I used dzip.exe again to pack the converted files into a dz package (they need to be under "audio\music_h\" same as the extracted files) which I named "pc-music_h-35976.dz" which I then used to replace the original.
That's it. The game loads the music files, and since they are wave files they don't need any codec and they work without any issue.
Well, almost no issue. For some reason the package that I obtained is 2 gigabyte, way more than the unpacked wave files. I have no idea why the program does this. Not only this makes it unpractical to distribute it (assuming it's even legal), it also causes the game to freeze for a few seconds any time it needs to load a new track, obviously because of the enormous undertaking of loading those huge files into the RAM.
