Why doesn't "Spell Call" ever obey the spell queuing system???
I don't have time to click the buttons within the short timer to get off a reaction spell, so I use the spell queue system. But when I queue up the "spell call" spell (the one that says you're supposed to cast it "after any character has cast a spell".) I'm trying to recall my own random spell. I queue my Spell Call spell, then I cast Random normally. It goes on the discard pile afterward and my Spell Call spell never triggers. What does "queue spell" mean if it won't properly queue spells?

when are you casting your Random because if it's during anyone elses turn that will block you using spell call from the only 1 spell if it's not your own turn rule.

What? Can you say that again with understandable grammar?

There is a limitaion of how many spells you`re allowed to cast during your turn, and also during another players turn.

FE at the beginning of your turn, you have 2 spell, then you`re allowed to cast 2 spells, the same if you start with 1 or 3.

Also you`re allowed to cast 1 spell, during another players turn.

Right. So I start the turn with 2 spells: Random and Spell Call. I want to cast Random followed by Spell Call. That's 2 spells on my turn. That should be allowed. But queuing Spell Call then casting Random doesn't cause Spell Call to fire off, even though the exact conditions described on the Spell Call card have happened (It's "any character has cast a spell", not "any *other* character" has cast a spell.) If it's only supposed to work when other characters cast, then the card is phrased wrong. If it *is* supposed to work on spells you cast yourself, then shouldn't the queue system detect that this is a legal instance to cast it and therefore trigger the spell?

I'm not sure, but if I remember correctly double clicking or more generally casting a spell unqueue any other spell you had queued. In this case, if you queued Spell call and then cast Random, the former should get unqueued.
Try queuing Spell call after casting Random but before selecting its target.

Hmm maybe, but I do remember Spell Call was still queued after this happend. It didn't seem to have unqueued itself.

In my experience with the UI for spells, whenever you cast a spell it queues itself up first (removing anything that was queued before) and then is cast.

Okay that's very strange but I guess it is technically what a "queue" is. A more sensible way would be to say that since the conditions for it have not triggered then it's still pending, but if they implemented it as just a raw simple queue then you can't do anything out of order with it. (If so, then that has implications for other uses of the queue - if you queue two spells but the triggers for them happen in a different order than you queued them does that make it not work? For example, if you both want to Spell Call the moment someone else casts anything, and you also want to Immobolize the next player who goes, what order do you queue those two spells in given that you cannot predict when other players will cast spells? If the queue's queue order is rigidly enforced, then if you predict the order wrongly and put the spell that happens earlier second instead of putting it first, will the spell that is in the way in the front of the queue block the next one from happening?)

I guess to cast a reaction spell that reacts to your own spell the only way to do so is to be quick on the button instead of queuing it up?

Like a previous poster said, you could try casting Random, then queuing Spell Call before choosing Random's target. Then after you choose a target, Random will finish resolving and Spell Call will be triggered.

It might take a little speed to Spell Call a spell that doesn't choose a target, though, like Time Warp. Make sure to have your "Usable Cards" tab open and ready to double-click on Spell Call if you want to use it on a spell like that.
