But digging a little further I’m finding out even the positive reviews share common gameplay issues that can be classed as core to the gameplay.
Then I came across recent post by devs saying this 70% discount is their last ditch effort to continue developing the game… So if sales don’t improve the hint here is potentially abandonment?
Definitely looking less and less great noting ironically Valve has dev policy that early access should NOT be used as means of funding development.

What Early Access Is Not
Early Access is not a way to crowdfund development of your product.
You should not use Early Access solely to fund development. If you are counting on selling a specific number of units to complete your game, then you need to think carefully about what it would mean for you or your team if you don't sell that many units. Are you willing to continue developing the game without any sales? Are you willing to seek other forms of investment?
If I look at the tasks on the lumber station, it clearly says I can get wood out of the large logs, but nothing ever happens.
I also can't figure out what the well does. It says it provides water for other stations, but it doesn't seem to do anything.
The only processing station that seems to do anything for me is the monster parts one (and yeah, the range on it sucks). And half the time I'm trying to find a good spot for it, the placeholder will just disappear, and I have to exit build mode and re-enter it to get it back (so I can see where the heck I'm building it, and if it's actually in range of all the parts).
Late reply but yes, you build them then you bring the large unprocessed resources that say you can't portal them and drop them next to the table and it goes into a queue, but its Buffy as all ♥♥♥♥.
Also for things like the well, you place them down and place other crafting stations that NEED a well nearby around them. Very convoluted and silly, should just place a well down and it count for the whole island but whatever
These stations need to be loaded with the appropriate resources. For example, place those huge logs that you can’t put in the portal, drop them into the lumber processing station
In my experience they work for the first item and then cease working.
Load a single tree trunk in, the tribesman works on it and leaves, even with multiple others ready. Have to rebuild it entirely for each one.
