Does that mean private servers? I don't like playing with strangers.

Yes, you can set up a server and host just to play with friends

So you said co-op only, but then said Yes, you can setup a server and host for friends. Do you mean just a "Host and play" option in game or can i setup a server to have up at all times. It's a deciding factor for me and my friends on games like this.

For EA launch, we do not have dedicated server support just yet. We had implemented it earlier in development but could not prioritize it for launch, so right now you can only host and play on the same machine.

We do plan to offer dedicated hosting options in the near future though.

I have 5-8 people I normally play these style games with. But can't really do that without dedicated servers. Waiting for the one host to be on for a group of people is rough.

it would be like monster hunter or dark souls . steamworks used for matchmaking peer to peer . host should not use wifi crap connection

if you are in same rooom ,house it doenst matter . connection should be flawless in your case. server is absoultely pointless in your case you share same internet source(modem or whatever) . no latency what so ever

its fine as long host use good cable net with no packetloss however game is more demanding when hosting wia this technicue since you basicaly make server for others

It's more of an issue of the hosting player has to always have their game on or always be online. Dedicated servers allow people to hop on and off at their leisure.

Dedicated servers are a must. I have a large group that would play this game, but P2P is just a garbage lazy answer.
