Camera constantly spinning - PS4 controller with MacBook pro

I got the game the other day and played 3 hours or so before deciding to try using my PS4 controller - plugged it into my MacBook and it works fine as I can jump/switch tools/walk etc. in the game but the camera is constantly spinning and I can't control it.

I've seen some people on PCs having this issue a few years back but none of those fixes worked and I can't find anyone on Mac with the same issue.

Can someone help? The controller obviously works but the camera spinning makes it impossible to play. :(

I'm not 100% sure you'll get great results with a ps4 controller. Ideally you want an old xbox360 one.
You could try an emulator program like x360ce, it's not for mac tho so you'd have to find one for your OS.

maybe using steam to set it up might stop it spinning in circles:)

xbox 360 controller is best for this game as the support is native for it:)

i play vcd with xbox 360 controller and the mouse at same time
controller in left hand
L3 to jump or space on keyboard
keyboard for cheat codes/console commands/text to speech chat in multiplayer etc
left stick to walk
mouse for everything else in right hand
swap devices if left handed:)
thats the best most acurate and most responsive controls to use in the game=spill alot less buckets and make less mess:)

right stick on controller is not fun in vcd=too clunky=too many buckets spilt and lots of tipped over bins=it also hard to aim the welder with right stick

cant use mouse in coop splitscreen mode
you need 2 of same controller for that to work!

if controller is wireless it might need a 3rd party driver
vcd is fun with a wireless mouse and controller the controls are heaps better than using the keyboard
