Stuttering, Low FPS, LAG?
So I have the recommended requirements to play, my PC is supposively better than my friends (yet hers is flawless running this) but when I go to play the menu screen is jerky, the music cuts in and out, the game is jerky, ect, ect. I have checked the ini file to change the resolution to low and everything in the options is off or on low yet I still cannot play smoothly. I've updated my graphics card and done everything I can find to try and fix it. We tried swapping host but either way I'm still jerky in the game making it impossible to play. I'm losing hope on it now. 64-bit version doesn't work either. Is there anything at all that can be done?

Hmm, that sucks. Have you tried everything mentioned in the FAQ, such as restarting and/or installing prerequisites?

------------------------------------------
Q: The dark gods conspire to slow the game's FPS to a snail's pace, what will remove this curse?

Fortunately no sacrifice is needed, you can instead try restarting your computer first.

If that doesn't work, try adjusting the settings in the options menu. Failing that, find the UDKSystemSettings.ini file in your game's "\UDKGame\Config\" folder.
Try setting some of these values to false and then launching the game again:

Bloom=false DynamicLights=False DynamicShadows=False MotionBlur=False bAllowLightShafts=false LensFlares=False FogVolumes=False bAllowD3D9MSAA=False AmbientOcclusion=False MaxMultiSamples=0

You can also try manually running the Unreal Engine 3 redistributables installer for the game and then launching again; you can find the "UE3Redist.exe" in the game's "\Binaries\Redist\" folder, that's the one you need.

If that doesn't help, you may have to download the core ones from the Microsoft website:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-za/download/details.aspx?id=40784
Be sure to install the one appropriate for your system(32bit[x86], or 64bit).

Also consider updating your video drivers, and Direct X manually should none of the above work for you.

Yeah I did all of that which is why I posted this, the only thing I can think of is maybe it doesn't have windows 10 support yet. All my other games play good on 10 though like there's not much difference from 8.a but maybe that's it?

It's possible yes. The game hasn't yet been tested or officially supported for Win10.
However, there are lots of windows 10 players without any problems.

Hmm, really not sure why your machine would still have a problem with it.

Is the game actually using the right GPU? Sometimes the system uses the wrong graphics card, if you have two. You may need to force it to use the right one in your drivers' configuration app.

No idea what else it could be for the moment.
Computer not overheating? Seems unlikely, but still.

I only have one GPU, so it can't be that and no it's not overheating I just got new fans for it. It bums me out that I can't run it but I'm getting an even newer PC soon hopefully it'll work on that one.

My solution is simple,. first. locate the game folder

for 64bit system
(Steam\steamapps\common\Viscera\Binaries\win64 then run UDK.exe file to start the game.

for 32bit system
(Steam\steamapps\common\Viscera\Binaries\win32 then run UDK.exe file to start the game.

**(you can create shortcut to the desktop also)

This works well for me with MAX settings @ 1080p. Hope this helps.
