Anyone else capping at 5 FPS recently?

Previously VCD used to run at around 30-40 FPS on average, but now it seems to be capped at 5 FPS, even in the menu.

I've updated my graphics drivers, tried reinstalling the game, and the redistributables, i've tried playing in 64bit and editing the engine's ini file, I just can't seem to get it run above 5 FPS, has anyone else been having this issue lately?

if that does nothing then maybe updated drivers or a windows update screwed something up
maybe try older driver for gpu for when it was working fine
check windows update didn't nerf ya sound driver too esp if ya got nahamic if ya start nahamic and it fails to launch then microsoft replaced realtek universal driver with realtek hd driver=results in a ton of lag n bad sound quality on pc esp if nahamic is a system app n ya have an msi motherboard like i do

i hate windows update it broke my system fans last week n they failed to turn on lol n it nerfed/disabled and deleted my AMD video driver broke/disabled/deleted all my msi motherboard software and it installed the wrong sound driver and corrupted my bios with incompatible microsoft drivers again for the 76th time

VCD doesn't lag until windows update bricks ya pc
ya should be getting 40-100 fps n if ya got a 4090 or something it should be super fast lol or did the cheap n nasty $2 power connector on ones 4090 melt?

max 130 fps in VCD


also if you reinstall the game do this=
disable steam cloud permanently=cloud screws the game up n causes office crash at punchout bug too n it causes workshop maps to fail to upload to the workshop too until all useless autosaves are deleted=stupid cloud reinstall deleted borked saves=breaks a clean install=lagfest

open viscera folder
backup saves folder on desktop=can restore trophy save in new install=keep office stash
delete everything manually
verify the game cache to reinstall
re apply ini tweaks
disable autosave ingame
disable anistropic filtering
disable antialising
pretty much max everything else out n turn complex lighting on n set physics to max

if you verify the game cache without deleting anything=still broken it skips everything

nuke it then verify it to get a clean 1st run install

do not turn cloud back on

nvidia is notorious for screwing its latest gpu drivers up
what happens if you factory reset the GPU driver or try an older driver from like 5 or 6 updates ago?

don't play 32 bit game it only use 3gb of an 8 gb gpu n crashes out of video memory=microsoft broke 32 bit vcd in dec 2015

play 64 bit game=works nice

opt into steam beta from steam settings
everything runs fine in the beta=in case a bad steam update killed it lol

In case you want to disable Windows replacing drivers:
- Advanced System Settigns / Hardware / Device Installation Settings / Set to "No"
- GPEDIT / Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / Windows Update / Manage updates offered from Windows Update / Set To "Yes"

turns itself back on (look at top left white box) while its still set to NO it still installs microsoft garbage drivers every patch tuesday as that way doesn't work at all weather its on or off it still installs crap incorrect microsoft drivers=BROKEN PC=

so far after 2 weeks it hasn't murdered my gpu driver or my motherboard software =YET after two weeks ago windows update caused a critical hardware failure n thought it was a great idea to disable all of my pc fans all 8 of em including gpu fans

no errors in hardware tests event logs and hardware diagnostiics=windows update broke my pc AGAIN

If combined with "AllowOpenGL=True" it shortly crashes after a few seconds in any map. (Tested on Overgrowth)
So it is possible that it does not work on all systems if enabled.

might have to enable the legasy windows 10 feature to enable open gl in games
had to use it to fix beavis n butthead in virtual stupidity too cuz some idiot at microsoft disabled open gl too then if i try and uninstall beavis and butthead in virtual stupidity windows chucks a warning=

upgrade to windows 11 while 1 bios setting is preventing windows update from automatically FORCE UPDATING MY PC TO WINDOW MALWARE 11

device manager is a good place to look when da itshay hits the fan
so is launching ya gpu driver software while ya admire ya gpu driver software crash when ya try n start it while windows chucks an error
this driver is not compatible with windows as windows is using the microsoft version of this driver reinstall this program as administrator
in device manager gpu driver replaced by microsoft generic monitor driver=ah crap not again

what happens if you factory rest the gpu with the install disk that came with new pc or new gpu?
chances are that fix it
