Mac Crash on Start
I've played the game in the past on my mac, no issues, but I've downloaded it again, and problems ensued. The first boot gave me the main menu, but my mouse would only jump from one corner to the other, and when I turned the mouse sensitivity down to 1, it still jumped and stuttered so I quit out. I try again, and immediately after pressing 'play' my entire computer stops. I can move my mouse, and music still plays, but I can't click anything, and no buttons work, so I force a shutdown. I've tried restarting my computer and reinstalling the game with no success. I always get an immediate crash.
Edit- I've verified the files through steam, and it said everything was good. I also went in a checked res and turned off the fullscreen in the game settings (text form)

Hmm, that's really odd.
When was the last time you played it on Mac? If it's less than a year ago, nothing has changed with the game. It's possible that an update to your OSX system has messed with things.
Unfortunately I'm not exactly sure what that could be...

Beyond the resolution thing, I don't really have any ideas and I've been unable to find reliable info on the issue.
Some sort of compatibility mode or drivers issue perhaps?

Do you have any other Unreal Engine 3 games you can test to see if they are working?
Could be something about your system that the engine no longer gets on with.
I am having this exact same problem. I can recreate it too.

If I set the application to be able to control the computer in the securities preferences then the game crashes the computer on startup. As above, the mouse can move but nothing else responds. The UDK icon starts bouncing in the application bar and then the computer locks up.

If I turn off the allow checkbox in the security preferences, then the game runs but I get the odd mouse issues described above in the game so I cannot play it.

I am running OS X 10.14.3
MacBook Pro mid 2012
2.5 ghz i5
4gb 1600 mhz ddr3
intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB

This is annoying because this is pretty much the only game I want to play on steam and I just bought it.

We're still looking into this one. It's certainly bizarre.
Don't know enough about the OSX system to say what's causing the trouble just yet.

Hi! Letting you know that I'm also experiencing the same exact problem on Mac. Just like the person who commented after the OP, I just bought it and had spent around 30 minutes trying to figure out what's wrong with the game until I stumbled onto this thread.

My mouse would go to the side of the screen as if there's a magnet around it whenever I turn off the checkbox in the security settings, but when I do turn it on it would automatically freeze up the screen and crashes it, forcing me to restart. I've tried this for four times in a row and it happens every time. It's a shame because I was looking forward on playing this game. :/

macOS Mojave version 10.14
MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015)
1,6 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB

I hope you guys can fix this soon. :(

I am Also having the same problem. Although I was able to use the arrow keys and enter along with tab to navigate all of the settings and turn them down to the lowest graphics, but I got into a game and it was still horribly laggy.

Game stuck at launching for me, it shows an icon that it's launched but does not respond. Probably due to new os updates because it used to work for me.
(macbook pro os v: 10.14.15)

i've tried both the mac beta and the normal version

Edit: I got the not optimised warning which is due to mac transferring to 64-bit systems only which means 32-bit programs are starting to get buggy

I have also discovered this issue. OS 10.14.6. Mouse will not work properly if the game is in not given security permissions. If you give the game security permissions, your entire computer locks-up and must be hard-restarted.

I am also having this problem. I have a Macbook Air 2017 with macOS Mojave Version 10.14.5.
It can run the game smoothly but if I don't give the game security permissions, the mouse will not work properly. If I enable security missions, I can use the mouse but it locks up the computer completely, with the only option after that being to force shutdown the computer.
