Stopping machiens from producing limbs
So I read the FAQ and saw

Q: This game is cruel, why oh why why WHY did you make limbs come out of the machines!??? I had just cleaned everything and now it's ruined!

Cleaning is not easy in real life, nor should it be in a game about cleaning up far far worse debacles.
A Space-Janitor must be tough, ruthless and have a certain penchant for suffering to get through his day, the company can't afford the best, so a janitor must make do with faulty and cruel equipment.
After all, that's what the game is really about; piling problems on you until you solve them on your own.
Your cleaning must be a grueling and unrewarding task, especially punished for your carelessness.

Not really interested in having the bucket dispernser shoot out body parts 4 times in a row, is there an easy way to disable this or am going to have to get a memory editor going and make a patch myself?

Well for me it's the worse part of the game, right up there with limbs deciding they're going to pop outside my basket as I'm carrying it.

The machines don't produce random gibs in Speedrun mode, but it is a pain in Normal mode. It just outright discourages you from using the bin machine. There should be an on/off toggle in the Rules page for Normal mode.

I could see more nonsense coming from faulty buckets to lamps that turn off or explode by not being tied to your character's nonsense. The limbs & viscera I can live with, they are charming.

I like that it can happen. I don't like that it can happen 4 times in a row. It completely stops gameplay until the rng decides you can continue. I wish there were a hard cap of two (MAYBE three) times that it can happen sequentially before the machine is forced to work properly.

I'm going to start working on a patch, I'll keep you guy's updated

Well, while i never had it go so badly that after 4 or so times in a row it spits gibs, it only gives you one or two bins only for it to spit out 4 more, if it is THAT annoying, why not put a bin or two near each machine? Then you can quickly discard the limbs into the bin, mop up the blood (handy if you've put a bucket near each one too), and done.

Especially with the bucket machine that is easy to do, since it only produces one gib, which may not even touch the ground or anything before you pick it up in time.
That said having it be unrestrained RNG would be kinda bad, enforcing it to work for like 2-4 buckets/bins after having too many gibs in a row would be a good thing, in which it would then become RNG-based again.

I don't mind the bucket dispenser, that is easy to catch, but the bucket dispenser dropping gibs 4x consectivly is completely unacceptable. I do have a work around right now, I'm working on expanding on it for a more permanet solution.
I'll also speak with the dev later about publicly releasing the patch, make sure he/she won't be analy devastated about it.

I realised I've dun ♥♥♥♥♥ up, the basket dispenser is dropping gibs 4x in a row, that's the issue, the bucket dispenser spawning gibs is not much of an issue, but will be patched regardless.

It always seemed to me that the dispensers are more likely to spawn gibs if there's already several bins around. It's seemed like a means to prevent a player from flooding the entire map with bins or buckets (though that would be funny to watch). Not sure if that's the case, though.

I always leave a spare bin by the bin dispenser, just so I have a place to put all the inevitable gibs.

I don't personally understand why there's severed body parts coming out of the machines, though. It would make more sense if it were mechanical bits, or broken bin parts, or a spray of engine oil, before the auto-repair whirred on and patched the error for the moment.

Ya, have a bucket handy at your dispensers, just in case, too. If you're quick, you can catch a giblet before it splatters and makes a mess. You're screwed if more than one drops, though, but I just silently curse my luck and clean up the mess. Get in the habit of always cleaning out your mop before moving to a new spot/new bucket. You don't want to carry around a dirty mop if you don't need to, especially if you step in a mess by acccident and carry tracks with you.
