How many maps so far?
I've been looking around the forums trying to find out how many maps there are so far, with no luck. How many are there and how many will there be when the game fully releases? Are community maps going to be made?

That's more than I expected. Thank you for the info.

There's 11 maps now and the one being made now would be 12.

1) Athena's Wrath
2) Caduceus
3) Cryogenesis
4) Evil Science
5) Hydroponic Hell
6) Rust-Station East
7) Section 8
8) Splatter Station
9) Unearthly Excavation
10) Waste Disposal
11) Zero-G Therapy

The map editor is included in the game, but I don't think VCD is popular enough to attract the sort of talent and motivation necessary to get player-made content. The devs mentioned something about *maybe* putting together some tutorials, but no promises on that right now.

Messing around with the editor and it doesn't seem all *that* difficult in concept, but it's clearly a ton of work. I'm still hoping that someone with far greater ability than myself will come up with procedurally generated levels :D

I'm still upset that the names of the maps are listed in alphabetical order, ever since Athena's Wrath. I always considered Caduceus to be the closest thing to a starter map, and I always liked how it was conveniently the first at the top.
Athena's wrath took that place at the top of the list, where people like to start. I don't consider Athena's wrath to be terribly beginner-friendly, mostly because of all the things high up and difficult to reach.

Just want to say we've added some info to the menu for the coming update that will let players know average playtimes, size and difficulty of each map. :)
