The map editor is included in the game, but I don't think VCD is popular enough to attract the sort of talent and motivation necessary to get player-made content. The devs mentioned something about *maybe* putting together some tutorials, but no promises on that right now.
Messing around with the editor and it doesn't seem all *that* difficult in concept, but it's clearly a ton of work. I'm still hoping that someone with far greater ability than myself will come up with procedurally generated levels :D
Athena's wrath took that place at the top of the list, where people like to start. I don't consider Athena's wrath to be terribly beginner-friendly, mostly because of all the things high up and difficult to reach.
