The answer is "probably okay toleave it" - there isn't much that you *have* to burn.
It's a new element from Unearthly Excavation, located at the end of the cave. You can activate it by holding it, which will cause the player to partially loose control of their movement. When droped and if the player stays near the artifact will repel you. Sarlaccs will reject the artifact, spitting it out vigorously.
I didn't test enough but my guess is you need to get rid of it since it's a form of evidence to the incident.
*runs game*
...
That thing is AMAZING!
You have to dispose of it, otherwise you get a newspaper article about the psychosis returning and a whole bunch of people dying. You need to either burn it or take it back to the office.
Get it into a bin ASAP and it can be safely carried around.
But yeah.
I mean, how can there really be an end when you get to pick which level you do. It's like trying to "finish" GMOD. The only end is when you get bored :P
