Brooms need a buff
I can see that using a mop vs a broom really doesn't offer much as it is, however here's a simple idea that can change that. Plenty of cheap brooms now-a-days offer clip on dust pans. As it is in-game at the moment, you have to pick up each piece of waste no matter how big or small. A dust pan with a broom could change that for small objects. Could be an alt fire with the broom that allows use of the dust pan. This would also provide an actual advantage for ever using a broom since a bin wouldn't be needed for tiny items. Ideally players will still need to be aware of physics while moving with anything in the dust pan.

Thinking that left click would be pushing as it does now and holding the right mouse button would crouch the player, using it's left hand to hold a dust pan onto the ground. While alt-sweeping anything between the dust pan and broom will be pushed towards the dust pan. From there, once at the waste drop off point, left clicking will empty the dust pan and place it back onto the broom while quickly providing it's primary sweeping function.

So what does the broom currently, that the mop doesn't? Does it move things without creating a mess or something? If so, then I could see it be useful and abused but if it moves thing yet creates a mess (even if pushing a arm or a head), then I dont see any use for it.

The broom pushes things around somewhat more gently and more controleld than the mop does, allowing you to sweep up stuff ina civilized manner.

The broom will cause a mess if used on gibs and does get bloody like the mop, but cannot clean blood stains. It also doesn't make as much of a mess if used while bloody.
