How does the multiplayer work?

Do I need an own server to play with friends or is there already a server like for example in Magicka, where you just have to open a room without having a server or anything like that ( Hamachi, etc...)

You can just make a server. Pretty simple to do. However, in the spin off games (christmas, etc), you have to forward your ports to make it work.

also you can host or join any steam freind game if your steam freinds are playing vcd you can join the host game in the righthand corner of vcd menu and freind list on the clipboard
multiplayer is fun
