What's the point?
Hi,

That game intrigues me since a long time.
Now that's complete, I'm still confused about its point.
I really don't see cleaning things as an entertaining activity. Even if the goal is to clean rooms full of blood and body parts... It sounds and looks fun for sure but just like a joke.
So what's makes you playing it more than 5 minutes?

Is there something to get after you finished an entire level?
Do you gain experience, skill point, money to spend, anything?
Is there something to discover? any story? Is there something challenging? Risky?

To me it looks like it's just cleaning rooms until the end.
Does it change anything if you play with a friend? Is it more fun?

It satisfying to clean up, pretty much :P Maybe its like minecraft, one of those things that may be hard to understand till you try..
Though I tend to like the newer levels a bit less than the older ones

Aside from the satisfaction of making everything shiny and clean, the levels are generally beautifully made and details with good atmosphere. There's a story for each level not explicitly told but discovered through flavor text found throughout and observation of the carnage. There's also lots of movie/game references of varying levels of obscurity which make for a sensible chuckle every now and then. A few secrets to find too.

There's also a bit of a mystery to solve which ties a lot of the levels together as a single, over-arching story. Kinda.

It's fun to play with friends, and can lead to hilarious scenarios.

Well i suppose reasons vary but there's always some satisfaction in seeing your work half-done already (in the form of a clean area/room), and given how the game is physics based, one can take great pleasure in using said physics for creative solutions. Such as trying to cram in as many bits you can into a bin (especially now that you can rotate objects). Or throwing stuff instead of carrying it.

It also has no real (physical) skill requirements, besides being able to operate your computer, so it can be used as a relaxing timekiller. And it sure as hell knows how to fill that OCD itch in people, too, heh... And it can also fill that itch of organizing stuff a little, to something as small as smart item placement (AKA, place your buckets on the sides of passages, not the center! Or you'll just run it over and make a mess), or creating a plan on how to clean an area.

Or the sheer multiplayer shenanigans, that does it too, for alot of people. Especially once you figure out sentries in the robot map. Or enable Ghost mode. Or just light a bundle of TNT and have some fun with that. Or you could try and organize a proper, effecient cleaning method between players, depending on the crowd you're with.
