After a while, you learn how to pretty much never spill buckets, and that you can stack them to take up to four at a time and save yourself several trips. It's also worth noting that literally everything in this game is in some way out to get you. The machines shoot out limbs, the welder overheats, and the lift shoots you into the air. I doubt anything is going to be made easier any time soon XD
Not trying to be all "git gud and play how the developers want us to", I've just been playing for a year and find you tend to get used to it.
Anyways, with regard to the original question, I don't think there's any actual way. I'm sure the devs will give a full answer though.
Open the in-game console with the (~) key.
Type: set visceragame.vcbucket bucketsaturationmax 200
That will double the capacity of buckets for that game session, the default is 100.
above 110 is hard to use radio/j-harm or read pda's
higher fov also stops gibs falling off the edge of bins when trying to put stuff in bins
using a controller also helps prevent bucket spills can walk alot better than using the keyboard/can still use the mouse just use left stick to walk
will still spill buckets but far less often:)
default fov camera is too close to the player make it higher lots easier to stack the crates and barrels too they wont fall over so often can lift stuff abit higher
Makes me so mad, but I guess half the fun is also cleaning up one's own messes.
This is years late but I just wanna say that I'm genuinely impressed that the developer dropped in to offer a solution to this. Might not mean much, but +1 fan just for that.
