Clean Freak achievement bugged ? [resolved.]

So I've on the way to do all the achievements of the game, and after doing the mission where you've to make a mess of the santa mission, the office being reset I choosed to get that Clean Freak achievement in which you have to completely clean the office.

The problem is, I cleaned literally everything, and it never popped up, I tried reseting it a fews times, cleaned it completely with the killneaerstmess and killnearearestnonmess but still didn't popped. I also checked with the Debugshowviscera command that let you see any mess around, but there is literally nothing, I'm out of solutions :(

Just tried that didn't work, I'm gonna reset and do the two commands + wait 10 mins (as I saw on some post that peoples waiting 10 mins seemed to work ? )

I don't know if that's liek game / steam bugged achievement or on my side, might try to verify the game cache just in case but I saw some people getting the achievement like 5 days ago, except if that hack achievement that should be possible

well, I verified the game integretity on the game's property, had 8 missing / corrupted files, but even with that updated and all, nothing seems to work

I kind of tried that already, taking the blood from the toilet and spreading it everywhere in the room + footsteps that I cleaned b hand beore throwing the dirty water bucket (and making sure the hole was clean) after
It Didn't work.

I try to spawn the Shell and also spawn blood with the GiveTools thing, even after cleaning them by hand, nothing seem to work

It seemed also that the office has been replaced a couple years ago for a new one, maybe that's what get it bugged as it is still register as the old office to suceed the achievement

(which would mean most of peopel that got the achievement recently is hack achievement if that's the reason)

That's kind of triggering, being one of the last "frustrating" achievement I needed to do to have them all after cleaning all those maps xD

Already tried to save thing, especially as my actual office with all the gathered stuff is on a zip raedy to be put back at any time

and I already cleared the office completely by hand (the graffiti shouldn't count) and that didn't worked aswell

Ok so that's odd, I did something and I think it kind of triggered the achievement on steam.

What I've done, if any people find their way here looking for the way to get the achievement, I've removed that steam take your cloud save and deleted the whole save folder in the game's folder, Resetting literally everything. I've got on, cleaned and used the two first command of the thread

"killall vcsplat"
"killall vcsdebris"

and like It didn't do anything, and when checking my achievements, to verify once more after checking 100 times, it told me I unlocked it last day at 11.38p.m (which is almost like 12 hours before that exact time I'm writing the message)

so Maybe I did unlock it last night, but the game didn't updated properly or I don't know, cause I got some achievements after that, the speedrun one and it gave it to me, so I might have done something by cleaning it once more today that triggered the achievement again

One year later me replying, as I first fixed the major spelling problems I had in my message xD

But for you to know, the first command is supposed to remove any blood or other "liquid" that is around the map that you clean with the mop. The second one cleans all the debris, trash, etc, which might give you an error if you already cleaned everything !

There is also another way to fix the achievements not working bug

Disable steam cloud sync and autosave forever
Autosaves are useless
Save manually often...

Copy saves folder to desktop as backup start the game and clear the office
Go strait to office
Pause the game and save it then use the office exit door to return to main menu
Quit game
Copy trophydatacollective.sav from backup saves folder n paste to replace the one in the games saves folder
Start the game go strait to office
Pause the game and save it

Use those commands or just killnearestmess near the garbage hole and near the sewer water stairs

Make sure sniffer not go crazy
Pause game n save it again


Use office exit door when ya done

Achievements not working bug is now fixed properly

Every official game update that did something to the office saved it's bugs from previous updates in a corrupt office save=
Like broken collision on the stairs (that Devs fixed years ago) in the water mess clipped under the stairs that are still broken vs said ancient office save years after Devs fixed janky stairs and the splats under the garbage hole bug too that was patched out ages ago but still exists in ancient office save that causes clean freak and keep it secret keep it safe to fail to fire cuz ya got an office save from vcd alpha and vcd beta in vcd 1.0 that dragged all the bugs that got fixed ages ago with it lol

Also some achievements fail to fire
When you punch out to the office
Always pause the game and save it
Saving it will trigger achievements instantly instead of skipping em
Esp when ya use the red keycard on the metal gate in the office basement it will fail to count the gun and armour towards keep it secret keep it safe achievement
Save the game as soon as ya open that gate and it will count the gun and armour n fix keep it secret keep it safe not working bug too..

That a good way to reset the office save while not losing the stuff ya collected

Killnearestmess deletes bob notes and those heads ya collected

Killnearestmess until office is very clean pause game n save it=
Bingo clean freak trigger

Restore backup trophy save again to get ya bob notes back...
All paper notes count as trash is also why clean freak not working cuz ya got a pile of bob notes in ya office=
Bob notes preventing clean freak from working
Killnearest mess deletes bob notes then bingo clean freak fires=WTF
It is what it's is but easy to fix without losing ya stuff

Never get fired cheat =
Backup ya saves folder every time ya get employee of the month
If ya get fired just replace saves folder with backup saves folder n clean map again until ya don't get fired then ya never lose ya office stash

Don't turn the cloud back on
Cloud causes office crash at punch out bug as it borks ya office save

No cloud no BS:)

Tip of the day
If ya have all the bob notes but ya missing the 2 notes that are already y in the office
Backup saves folder to desktop
Clear office go to office put those 2 bob notes in the trunk use exit door
Start any map go to the trunk n tip it on the floor somewhere n keep trunk away from those notes
Pause game n save map

Quit game n restore backup trophy save
Start game go to office pause it save it use exit door
Load save of the map ya dumped those 2 notes in
Put notes back in the trunk
Get employee of the month
Now ya got the 2 notes in ya office that ya tossed down the hole in the floor before ya realised ya needed those bob notes without losing ya existing massive office stash:)

If ya clever with saves ya can clone stuff in the trunk by taking stuff to and from a map to the office
You can easily turn 1 lightsaber into 100 of em by using the trunk and the save system to clone objects with the trunk


Office door codes reset and randomly generate new codes n ya will have to hack the doors open again vs vanilla office

Modded office 3.0 or 4.0 all door codes are 1234:)

awesome glad I could help
if you reinstall the game do that again=reinstall breaks it again.....!!!!
it's the only way to fix it properly then all the achievements work:)
it also fixes the office crash at punchout bug
if you turn the cloud back on and you clock out of the devs robot map that is what is causing the office crash at punchout bug

steam cloud stays disabled in steam global settings forever and autosave in the game stays off forever=
office lives forever and stops all of my games from dying on me
it also fixes the bug that causes workshop maps to fail to upload to steam workshop bug=happy days now I can update my workshop maps after I beta test em=YAY
It also stops the cloud from replacing new saves with old broken saves every single time ya start the game=terrific now I don't have to delete the autosaves folder 88588486 times to upload a steam workshop map to the workshop let alone upload patch updates instead of swearing at steam cloud sync bugs when the stupid cloud reinstalled the saves i deleted 88588486 times while that drives me CRAZY cuz it screws up every game in ya library


The cloud sux lose it then all ya games work properly now that the cloud can't BRICK everything in ya library:):)
