Huge CSG add cube must be in place before ya import
Also pretty sure the t3d conversion output needs to be set to 2013 ut3 format as a newer version of the conversion software will convert it to ue4 and ue4 brushes don't work in ue3
Like I said before doing this usually results in failure 9 out of 10 tries
It's very hit n miss aka a lucky dip
Perhaps look at the old unreal website for outdated obsolete tools and ya might get lucky
Also make sure it only selected the brushes and nothing else before you save it as a t3d file in ue2 before you convert it and import it into ue3
Lol massive can of worms it's a nightmare and way too much work
Lots of stuff can break
Brushes that were movers are corrupt try n convert those to static meshes or delete them before ya build da geometry
The scale often gets really messed up lol it can import into a screwed up ball of garbled star shaped cubes or be the wrong shape n have gaps everywhere or it can import fine and be too big when it does decide to work
Then ya got another week or two making new textures and materials only while having to repaint all of the brushes in the map 1 at a time manually
Can of worms gonna keep you awake at night for a loooooong time
Finish TF2 project before it has a catastrophic failure n nothing loads
Not fun when trying something new borks a really big project along with the rest of the game

Export t3d file from nerfed map file
Export a t3d file from VCD
Compare the information at the very top of each file
Make t3d file have same information as VCD t3d file
Can't remember might have to change or delete a few lines at the top n that's if it's not encrypted vs say notepad++
But it will be a messed up borked mess that ya still gotta fix in ue3 after setting ue2 files to read as ue3 files it bit corrupt lol so uncorrupt it= lol buy a lotto ticket if it works xd

lol soda factory also corrupt=it borks the vulcan dlc n causes crashes and bricks multiplayer
medical rust also stops multiplayer from working too
pretty sure the save setup is missing too
i fixed the enex maps ages ago=enex was too arrogant to update the originals that he still thinks that people can sub n play after it broke in 2015

same with frostflow borked stacking
devs changed vcd quite a bit since then=expect a ton of invisible errors
uploading old junk waste of time unless ya spend some time n update it properly
at least swap corridoor of broken as balls doom for endless tunnel n add mess n blood to that to make that one playable

as for my ww2 thing im not happy with it so it may never reach the workshop as kinda in the same boat as zero with their oasis project that i think looks beautiful but for some reason zero not happy with the results from that one

I get free for any use stuff ya can't get in trouble then and I am surprised elgeof hasn't been nailed by Nintendo for uploading Nintendo 64 maps let alone a ripped duke Nukem map as well as ripping hoh n putting that in rise of the triad with a ton of other maps ripped from quake and doom too as nothing he made is original

Making maps can easily corrupt the games vanilla files then if ya patch a map with borked vanilla files it spreads to your subscribers=not fun telling everyone how to fix it after ya broke it xd and verify game cache doesn't fix jack

It was hard enough making a few office mods without screwing up multiplayer
Ya better off just focus on making new maps n try n avoid the copyright BS

Lol glad I asked 1st cuz they said yes even though said source files had no textures just blank bsp brushes and that was also very broken there was gaps n misplaced geometry everywhere n it took months to make the VCD doom maps without using anything from doom it all fan made free stuff and lol so many of VCD's default textures pass as pretty convincing doom textures vs bsp brushes xd

those t3d files ya gave me were more than broken
that udk file also crashes even if ya delete everything in the map n try n build the geometry cuz both of the udk files are corrupt too
the blank template map sux too the kill z is broken and the nav mesh is missing n so is the lightmass importance volume
use one of the lit ones n fix that from crashing on next load before ya add stuff to it as all of the template maps crash on ya
how to fix a lit template map morning afternoon night etc
delete the sky its too big
delete the fog
delete the white slab after ya place a floor mesh on it cuz the kill z is right under it
delete the cube brush
setup the mymapinfo stuff
don't forget the save setup info:)

save as
save map as new mod name in a new folder in mods folder
quit editor
start it again
load map=hooray now it wont crash on ya
build all
now add stuff to it n make a map out of that

bloodbath map of mine has a fix for the corrupt curved evil science wall textures too=
i fixed the corrupt wall mesh in blender=yay but only the devs can copy n paste my fixed mesh to replace the broken mesh into evil science officially
evil science still has dog water matrix lines on the curved wall meshes=its borked lol cus the original mesh has corrupt lightmap res its 100 in the content browser and 64 in the map but you can't fix evil science=multiplayer will stop working if ya fix it xd
the ice rocks under the stairs in the ice cave have borked textures with flickering white cubes all over it in frostbite too=lol corrupt normals=unplug the normal in a new material=fixed n if yafix the dev one you corrupt frostbite and every map that uses said frozen rock meshes
i fixed that in cry o g therapy:)

open blank map in ue2 editor=postal 2 editor=leave it open do nothing yet
open killing floor editor
open map
select all bsp brushes n copy em
pate that in a new txt file on desktop
select all actors=delete everything in the map
open txt file
edit
select all
copy
paste into map in killing floor editor
file
export
export t3d file
open vcd editor
make new udk file n setup the mymapinfo n save setup n set the kill z to -6000
build all
save new udk file in mods folder
quit editor
start vcd editor
load new map=cool it didn't crash the editor=yay
add a massive additive brush with the builder brush=giant cube
go wireframe mode and copy the add brush
paste that brush into blank postal 2 map in postal 2 editor
import ue2 killing floor t3d file into ya vcd map=dont build it or it crashes
select all brushes
copy em
paste it in postal 2 map
select all brushes in postal 2 map
transform
transform permanently
export t3d file
make another new udk file in vcd n setup mymapinfo n kill z again n build all save file quit editor start editor load new map
( above in this thread i showed ya how to fix vcd map templates from crashing=fix the night one as new map)
delete the cube additive brush in the middle inside the builder brush
delete the sky delete the fog
save map
template is ready
import the t3d file ya exported from postal 2 ue2 editor
build
build all
it should compile the map and reveal the geometry
move the player start somewhere inside the geometry n build paths
save map
press pie button=go walkabout in untextured bsp map with ya mop
cool its working
t3d converter doesn't work as it makes brushes for ue4=aaaahhhhhhhhh
I am pretty sure that's what I did as nothing on the internet works at all and there is no t3d converter for ue3
hope one finds this useful while porting bsp geometry from unreal engine 2 into unreal engine 3

import skeletal mesh to vcd n make new body aka bodies out of all the kf2 characters npc's etc
burn em in vcd's incinerator
