Port Forward: The Rule is Duplicate [Help?]
I've had success with port forwarding in the past, in Source Games, Halo: Combat Evolved/Custom Edition, Warcraft III, Starbound, and Killing Floor. These are my current ports being forwarded http://puu.sh/aqPRG/838a27025b.png

(I had to delete the 6th port on killing floor to make room for Viscera)

However when I try to add Viscera, it comes up with this. {LINK REMOVED}

I attempted to forward Start/End Port 7777, and the router accepted it as a rule, but it has an issue with 27015. The puu.sh I sent, clearly shows I haven't forwarded 27015. Can someone explain what is going on?

You are probably getting the error because you are starting with port 7777 and ending with 27015. That means you are forwarding every port between the two numbers.
7777,7778,7779,7780,7781,etc... all the way to 27015.
So you are forwarding 20,000~ ports. So if you have any of those numbers already forwarded, it will come up as a duplicate rule.

Just forward starting port 7777 and ending port 7777. Then make a seperate rule, and forward starting port 27015 and ending port 27015. If you already have either of those numbers already forwarded, then you won't need to do it again. You said you have forwarded Source games in the past, so if you already have a rule for 27015 for Source, then you shouldn't have to remake it for Viscera Cleanup Detail, it will work for both.

On a side note, it is reallly dangerous to forward a huge range of numbers, like 7777-27015. That is a lot of open ports that someone could get into your computer with.

I hope this helps, good luck.

I appreciate the response. Unfortunately I will need to remove another KF Port to make room, but I will give it a try.

i have the same problem because i am trying to portforward steam and everything works exept when i get to the last neccisary port it sais that the rule is duplicate. it also happens when i try to port forward garrys mod for a server thet i want to make i have a tf2 server with the same port 27015 but i cant use the same port on a gmod server.

27015 is the Steam port and the Steam client will automatically add it most of the time.

In certain cases you may need to apply it yourself. If it's a duplicate, then perhaps Steam already did its job.
