So I just bought this today, 6/7/16 and as soon as I open it it tries to do the first time startup but will not continue and just exits. What do?

You can try this fix:

Q: When I try launching the game on Steam, it starts, then closes a moment later. I don't even see any log files in the game folder, what is it doing?

You can try fixing this issue by finding the "UDKGame/Config/UDKSystemSettings.ini" file in your game's install folder under SteamApps/Common.

Once you have the file open, make sure the ResX, ResY, and Fullscreen settings are set correctly for your system.

If it should fail, try it with fullscreen set to false.

That doesn't seem to work. Everytime I try to open it, the prompt will come up for the first time run setup. The error seems to be when it trys to run UnSetup.exe because a window will open and then immediately close.

You can try this then, specifically after solution 1:

Q: The game crashes with an "UnSetup.exe has stopped working" error, help!??

Don't panic, keep a safe distance and follow these steps:

(1): Download and install .NET framework 4.5 manually from the official microsoft website: Microsoft .NET framework 4.5[www.microsoft.com]

(2): Try launching the game again, if it should attack you once more, then download this file: Automatic EULA accept App[dl.dropboxusercontent.com]

(3): Place the file under "\Binaries\" in your main game folder, run it then click on "Accept EULA" and then "Yes".

(4): Launch the game and pray to your god or gods.

This program says it needs to be in the same folder as UnSetup.exe which is currently in C:/Program Files x86/Steam/steamapps/common/Viscera/Binaries
so why is it not working still?

Weird....

Do you have any software, like an anti-virus that could be blocking its first-time setup? Try turning it off temporarily.

And you say it doesn't crash or anything? Just closes without a message?

And you've tried .NET and the C++ redistributables?

Manually install .Net 4.5 from the Microsoft website: Microsoft .NET framework 4.5[www.microsoft.com]

C++ package
http://www.microsoft.com/en-za/download/details.aspx?id=40784
Be sure to install the one appropriate for your system(32bit[x86], or 64bit).

Hey, I'm having the same problem. I used to be able to run this game yet I've been struggling for days trying to get this figured out. Could I get a continuation on this subject?
