BUCKET-MOP INTERACTION FIX
I've knocked over over half of my buckets with the mop.

PLEASE INSTITUTE A CONTEXTUAL THING WHERE "MOP LEFT CLICK " ON WATER BUCKET ALWAYS MEANS "CLEAN MOP."

If I want to knock it over, I'll right click. Honestly, this is so frustrating it makes me want to tell everyone that this entire game is a waste of money. You not only have to walk the knocked over bucket to the incinerator, but then you have to mop up what spilled (which reduces the effectiveness of the new bucket).

I mean, I've knocked a bucket into a box and spilled the bloody contents everywhere. That is clearly my fault, and it's a fun part of the game because you have to be careful. But this left click mop thing is just a design flaw, as there's no reliable way to clean your mop.

Try getting closer to the bucket, so that your mop is coming in from more of a downward angle. I haven't knocked a bucket over trying to clean my mop in a long time, so there's definitely a technique to it (or the physics isn't consistent between our games--not impossible either).

I've been walking on top of the bucket, actually. But if you walk too fast, you kick the bucket over. I guess jumping is the best, but really? Jumping to clean the mop off?

If the bucket is level and you aim for the center of the water it works fine. The main issue there is the lack of a crosshair.

When I first started, I used to stand on the bucket to make sure I got it right. The buckets were a real challenge back then. I changed the the setting from "always run" so I didn't approach things, in this case a bucket, too fast and I spread less footprints. After some practice I could use the bucket reliably. I still prefer always walk but I don't really need that setting anymore.

Edit- Knocking over the bucket, although frustrating at first, is kind of an important thing to keep the game chaotic and fun in a weird, hair-pulling way. I personally wouldn't change it. It is extremely bad to spill your bucket in Santa's Rampage. The more buckets you pull out there the more likely you'll get dynomite in the bucket dispenser. It's best not to waste water in that one.

Dynamite's not a problem if you're ready for it.

I'm too uncoordinated to get it in the bucket from the dispenser. I've tried... a lot. I just suck at it.

I agree 100% with OP. I get that it's "intended" and that's fine for people who are already getting into it. I'm not saying totally make it impossible to knock things over, but surely there could be some kind of "newbie" setting where it's harder to knock things over. That way people who are totally new could learn enough to actually get invested in the game and people who enjoy more of a hard-core can turn that setting off. Maybe it could be a setting on the map/level. I'm betting the physics has cost this game a lot of new users. I'll try the FOV trick though.
