Report a translation problem
1. Go to System Preferences
2. Security and Privacy
3. Click lock to make changes
4. It should be under Accessibility, allow the apps below to control your computer
5. Check the box next to VisceraCleanup

Have you tried WINE?
Devs are normally around during the week, you might get a better answer from them.
That is usually the fix. Beyond that, it could be that something else is causing the crash.
It's hard to tell, and on OSX, the log files the engine puts out are not very helpful.
I've had a look around, and it seems there's very little info on the subject. Must be something about your specific machine it doesn't like. What version of OSX are you running?
I'm sorry to say, but a refund may be your best bet.
Issues on OSX are tricky to diagnose...
