The Vulcan Affair Orbital Question

Does anybody know how to activate the Orbital Strike? I've seen in the trailer that it involves a beacon but I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to activate it and I can't find any forums mentioning how.

just throw some trash outside of the fence on the Outsisde. It will launch after some time.

You can find a couple of beacons around the map, or vend some from the vending machine top-side.
Pick one up, then hold LMB to activale it, place it near what you want to be vaporized. ( only works outside ).

So thats what I was doing wrong, I wasnt holding the button. Thank you!

Also true, if you throw items out of bounds, a strike will come.
But I prefer to make a big pile then call one in.

Can someone please elaborate as to which blood filled map this "Orbital strike" thing is on?
