Just like any game there has to be a "punishment" for not playing correctly.
Rpgs-say the wrong thing and you might miss a great quest or loose out on a skill point
Arpgs-rush too fast and you'll be underleveled and undegeared
FPS-waste ammo and play recklessly and you'll die often.
There needs to be a risk/reward, and loosing your stuff is the risk, keeping it is your reward.
That said...
goto "\Steam\steamapps\common\Viscera\Saves\Backups" and restore one of your Trophydatacollective.sav files, that'll bring back your old items.
Like I said there is the backups saves folder that lets you get them back.
I also keep a save at the end of each map, just before punching out. That way if I do loose my office I can reload each save and bring my stuff back, map by map.
That's just unfair.
I didn't know the backup thing and i had to replay all the map to regain my rewards.
Suggestion to map makers: do whatever you like, but let us know if there are strange conditions!
Also if a map is set up wrong, it can lead to being fired even if you got 100%.
Those are both very rare though.
Best to keep a backup on hand.
Now i know the hard way to keep backups!
Yes, you'll lose all office collectibles instantly the moment you get fired. In the case that happens, you can always use a Backup save in your files (the game automatically creates a new file after each cleanup) and copy that into the Saves folder (you need to remove the timestamps in the name) to override the new save and restore your office.
Also this thread is like 5 years old, why are you posting here?
Also big thanks to the developer for having a new trophy save every time I leave the office after changing anything in there or something.
I did the santa's workshop achievement to leave a bigger mess then log out, and my office seemed good while I was placing all the stolen toys on my shelves the other day. When I finished Athena's wrath just now (probably like 99% clean + stacking all the barrels & boxes + fixing holes) I noticed my office was wiped. I was livid, but hopefull so I searched the forums.
I want to throw up. 161 hours.
