Moving multiple barrels/crates at once
Hello everyone,

I'm quite new at this game (which is great by the way!) and was wondering if there's some way to do as the title says?
I'm currently doing "Unearthly Excavation" and there's a whole lot of barrels and crates on the map, do i really need to get across the entire map with a single barrel/crate each time? That's a few dozen travels at least, which is quite tedious imo =P

I know you can throw them, but isn't there a easier way? Do the devs plant on adding something like a trolley maybe?

Thanks ! :)

Just in Area 3 of the map there's something like 10 barrels and almost as much crates, do i really need to travel 20 times back and forth to the start of the map? Oo

Well, if you're creative you might be able to...? Like stacking a few on the J-HARM (the elevator thing that occassionally catapults you if it's being faulty) and carrying the J-HARM with boxes on top. Most effecient would probably be throwing though, just swinging from left to right or other way around and release for a VERY fast throw. With that you can throw across the entire map, depending on the map, so that's probably your best bet.

You could also throw a bunch of boxes/barrels together, grab a big heavy box (or atleast something equally as heavy) and push it into the pile of boxes/barrels, or even swing/smash it into the pile without releasing the box you're holding. Ultimately throwing worked best for me though. But nowadays i don't ussually bother with stacking anymore, i just leave em be for most part, just bonus points anyway.

I see.. I'll try that, thanks for the reply ! :)

Unfortunately, I have found throwing (which is awkward enough), to be the only effective method of moving several crates and barrels.

It is tedious work. I used to move eveything into the storage areas but nowadays I only use the crates or barrels that are nearby.

You can cut down the amount of work by always having something in your hands, if you're moving from one end of the map to the other for any reason, take a barrel or crate with you, and just toss it when you get where you're going. Even if it goes only half way, thats half the leg work you've cut out.

Thanks for the replies folks :)
That's what i'm doing + using "ghost" mode for the long travels, tedious, but it's doing the job.
Got an additional question if i may ask, do any of you (or anyone) knows if there's plan by the devs to add something for making this easier? (Be it a tool, trolley, or something else)
Thanks !

Take the welder, burn the stuff to smaller lumps you can chuck into a yellow bin, carry the full bin.

If a map doesn’t have a welder handy?
Do one map you know you can clean very well which has the welder, clean the map, steal the welder, put the welder in your trunk before starting the job, find the welder in your trunk when you start the new job.

You can burn many things into smaller parts with the welder, metal items turn into metal chunks, and bodies turn into more manageable/edible kebabs.

Does anyone know if you can stack a barrel or crate that has been melted down with the Arc Welder?

No, it counts as mess then

It would be interesting to know if burning the barrels and everything and then tossing it provides the same bonuses as stacking them. Or maybe you can stack some and burn the rest and the game will still count the bonus for stacking the ones present in the map.

Stacking stuff is always the worst part of all maps, you are done with everything and then you realise there´s a gazillion crates spill all over the map to go find and stack.

You only get the bonus for stacking them. You can part fill a stacking zone and you'll get bonus based on how much you did, but I feel it's always better to fully stack a zone.
