You wanna clean all the blood and bits, burn all the trash, and use the wielder gun to fix all the bullet holes.
You also need to restock and medkits that are around and depending on the map there are some extras, replacing the guns/ammo belts in the Robotics level for instance.
That'll get you 100% if you don't miss anything.
To go over 100%, you can also stack the barrels and crates in the designated stacking zones.
Best advice, clear a way between the 3 main areas>bin>bucket>incinerator, then just go from room to room, it feels like you're getting nowhere to begin with, but suddenly creeps up that the place is starting to look nice again.
I'll shamelessly plug my map, it should help if there's something you don't know, or feel are missing.

I was not even aware that you had to fix bullet holes and such. Thanks. This game is fun to play.
1. You clean up as much as you're able to, ideally everything.
2. Make sure to do secondary objectives, like filling up empty medpacks on the wall with fresh supplies, clear damage on the enviroment such as bullet holes, impacts, etc, with the welder, and some levels may have other special tasks/repairs that require performing, too.
3A. (Optional) If you want, collect all the PIDs (Personal Identification Device, i'm guessing?), if held, they show the name of the deceased individual, and bring them to the Punch Out machine. Then just rub them agains the Punch Out machine to register them into it's system. I heard just inserting PIDs may give a small score boost.
3B. (Optional) Then, if you want, you can interact with the Punch Out machine, and open a submenu, which lets you fill out the details of what happened in the level. The more accurate, the more points you get from it. But if you're wildly inaccurate, you get points reducted instead, so if you're uncertain, you may just wanna leave it alone. If you scroll down, you can also see the names of the deceased, clicking them opens a similar report menu where you can fill out how they died. Again, accuracy counts!
3C. (Optional) If you want, you can also stack barrels, boxes, med-waste, cry canisters, etc (depends on if the level has a stacking zone dedicated to it) into their dedicated stacking zones. You do not need to destroy these items, you can also just leave them alone. Just don't topple over barrels, barrels that aren't standing upright reduce your score a little.
4. Then make your way to the "Punch-O-Matic" or Punchout Machine. It's that thing with a screen, a crank, and a place to slide your card through. And once you feel like you've done a good enough job, just use the punch-out option to exit the level. If you did well enough of a job, you won't get fired (and can take stuff to the Office succesfully), if you did too poor of a job, you're fired and your office resets to it's default state.
(Edit: And before you punch out. Get rid of any buckets and bins. Those also count against your score.)
(So, if you like collecting items, you may wanna backup your save file from time-to-time just in case you uh, get fired. Speaking of save files, you can save a level before you're about to punch out, then punch out, and if you want more items from that level, just load that post-cleaning save and punch out with more items!)
If it helps, you need to clean/do stuff like...
-Clean blood/goo/etc with your mop.
-Clear bullet holes, and other types of damage (like "lightning scars", or heavy impacts/robot footprints/etc), and sometimes other things you can't mop away like growths or biomass, with the Welder.
-Dispose of trash (and often "evidence" too), and of course body parts, etc.
-Some levels have graffiti which you need to throw a acid jar onto, wait a moment, and mop the leftover bits of graffiti away with your mop.
If you're unsure what needs to go and what doesn't, use your Sniffer (slot 3). Blue detects biological messes (blood, body parts, etc), and green detects non-biological messes (trash mainly, and level damage like bullet holes, soot, etc).
Hm... OK, that turned out a bit longer then intended. But that broadly covers the things you need to do.
Thanks for the reply. Wow, seems like a lot lol. But that's cool cause some of that stuff I was not even aware off. I am on a level where I am saving and going back and doing more every now and then. Now when I go back I am gonna look to see if I have any damage that needs to plug in. Thanks for the info.
And i guess i kinda forgot to clarify about item collection, anything you put in (or on top of) your big, blue Janitor Trunk, gets transported to the Janitor Trunk in the office (you basically pack it up and bring it with you), the moment you punch out of a level (and didn't get fired).
Lotsa fun things to collect, hehe...
(And if it's too large to fit in the trunk, just put on top of the trunk, that'll work too. Also, whatever you stash in the trump cannot deduct your score, since you're taking it back with you, after all.)
- Clean all blood, goo, acid, etc with your mop, and destroy the buckets afterwards.
- Remove all Viscera from the map.
- Remove all garbage from the map (Tools and furniture can often be left).
- Collect all Boxes on the map, and stack them in the designated Box sector.
- Collect all Barrels on the map, and stack them in the designated Barrel sector.
- Count the number of bullet casings found on the map (Shotgun shells, and bullet casings) (if applicable).
- Count the number of Dead Aliens found on the map (if applicable)
- Count the number of bullet holes found on the map (if applicable)
- Repair the bullet holes using the Welder (if applicable)
- Fill in all Sinkhole Aliens with the Shovel and dirt (Only on Earthly Excavation).
- Replace any and all medikits.
- Fill any empty soil with plants. (when applicable)
- Replace any mounted guns, and fill their ammo. (when applicable) (NOTE: Best to do this after doing everything else: Mounted guns can and will fire upon the Janitor if they are detected carrying certain things like weapons).
- Destroy weapons (when applicable).
- Diffuse and destroy Explosives (to do this, put the dynamite into a bucket of water, and then put it in the incinerator without spilling the bucket; this is the safest and non-messy way to do it; but it's dangerous since if the Dynamite isn't in the bucket right, it might blow up) or detonate them and clean the ash when done. (when applicable).
- Burn Evidence of what happened (worker notes, Files, and anything like that).
- Put the Employee PIDs into the exit lever.
- Fill in the Extra Paperwork for bonus points.
- Anything in the Janitor's box is your own personal stuff. You can take anything out of the level with it, regardless of what it is.
- DON'T destroy tools (Broom, Welder, Shovel, etc), this will lose you points (Waste Disposal Crates and buckets must be destroyed though).
- DON'T destroy PIDs, this will lose you points
- DON'T leave the map without doing the job, this will result in instant firing.
- DON'T leave any blood or viscera, this will dock you massive points.
- DON'T destroy the barrels or Boxes, this will lose you points.
So basically, here's a few scenarios:
- You do nothing: You will get 0%, and get fired.
- You make a bigger mess, and then clock out: You will get a negative score, and get fired.
- You clean everything, remove all trash, but don't replace things: You will get a passing grade, but get criticised for only putting the bare minimum effort in.
- You clean everything, stack all the crates, replace all the content, but don't do the paperwork: you'll get 100% or close, but not filling in the paperwork will dock you a few points.
- You clean everything, stack all crates, replace all content, and fill in the paperwork but get the bios wrong: This will dock you points for false descriptions; so only input them if you are positive (your personal notepad is SUPER useful for this. Take a look at how the bodies are when you find them and note them down: You should be able to match it up with the options given). Doing it mostly right will net you bonus points, and thank you for a job well done.
- You do everything right: You will get over 100%, and be labelled Employee of the Month for your job well done. Other workers will warn you that your high standards will make you pay in the end; but there is nothing more satisfying then getting Employee of the Month in every level.
This stuff takes a looooooong time to do, but it's rewarding at the end of the day.
Dam! Well, guess ill be working on my level for some time. Thanks for all that. I never realized
Levels in this game are designed to take hours (I've done a few of them by myself; each one took no less then 2 hours and 30 minutes, sometimes more then that. But I'm also very slow with how I do things, preferring to handle one thing at a time (Usually I deal with the blood first, pull out the Notepad, update any information I need too, and focus on whatever is directly in front of me).
Seriously, the notepad is your best friend in this game. Need to remember something important? Write it down.
Also: Another thing that is never taught anywhere in game; while some doors have passwords given to you, the player may have to brute force through them as well. The easiest way to do this is to just push buttons. You'll see the screen glow green if you input the right number at a certain point. (So, say it's a 4 digit code: ****, if I push 1*** and nothing happens, I know it's not 1. But if I push 8*** and it glows green, the first number is 8. You can do this on most door locks, it just takes longer).
Was Penumbra added in a recent patch or updated? Because Pit Monsters previously were only found in Earthly Excavation; unless they hid one just to make it more tricky.
