Report a translation problem
Copy a TrophyDataCollective.sav that was just before the crash.
Goto"Steam\steamapps\common\viscera\saves\"
Delete/rename TrophyDataCollective.sav, and paste in the one you copied from backups folder.
Is there a way to fix the UDK crash?
Should be in viscera\udkgame\logs
I'm not great with tech stuff but there may be something I could spot.
Obviously a log from a crashed session
Til then I'd just hammer that manual save once you've done cleaning a bit.

Not too sure on what to try here. Maybe click the blue steam button in top left of the main menu, that would turn off the steam workshop but might also stop rustclient from trying anything funny.
Getting to the exact cause is beyond me. Possibly a bad workshop map download, possibly a faulty rust manifest.
For maps, just unsub maps you're not playing I guess.
For the manifest, goto Viscera\rustdownloads and delete the manifest.ini.
Not sure those would work tho. Turning it off "may" be the best option.
Just turn it on if you want to play custom maps.
I'm sure AJanitor or BlackEagle would know more than I do

Maybe just try the turning off steam workshop for now. see if those crashes still happen
keep steam in online mode
also run vcd as admin
if you have win 10 set compatabillity mode for win 7 on all of vcd's exe files Rust.exe included along with both the 32 and 64 bit udk.exe files in the binaries folder
rust client sometimes crashes on me when i exit vcd in offline mode(never crashes in online mode)
usually i just ignore it as it is usually harmless and its never done it while im playing a map
if playing in offline mode disable the workshop icon to stop vcd from crashing every 30 mins as it is a known bug vs ones internet connection disabled
vcd will crash after 30 mins if internet is off or steam in offline mode turn off the workshop icon to fix it in offline mode

what causes this=
I was playing with a friend. And after we checked out after cleaning. The game crashed. I thankfully saved the game. So I loaded it. After checking out again. I've lost all of my office goods. It was like all my trophies disappeared. That I found before from other levels.

a number of things can happen=
1 do you have the house of horror dlc and one of you not have the dlc???
have you or friend collected any community made objects in the office from workshop maps???
if you on coop and you dont have house of horror dlc and the host has dlc by meaning that you joined thier server as a client and your friends office has hoh collectables in it
host uses punchout machine and the game crashes to main menu
what causes that and how to fix it esp if want to go to your friends office (thats if they didn't lock the punchout rules)?
solution 1 =buy the dlc (it fix alot of problems)can also play every workshop map:)
solution 2 =if cant afford the dlc get friend to backup their saves and get them to toss all hoh collectables down the garbage shute in thier office and tell em to save office=players with no dlc can now go to office that has the dlc installed
solution 3 if collected custom made community objects from workshop maps=simply subscribe to the same workshop maps your friend is subbed to
those will stop vcd from crashing to the main menu in coop mode when somebody uses the punchout machine:)
and yeah my maps are solid pretty much crash proof
cannonfodders and carthiefs maps are also pretty much crash proof
carthiefs underground research might run out of memory if have low ram/video card specs on your pc
oh and one more thing when and how did the game crash on invasion x??
1=during play=if so your game may be corrupt or compat mode for win 7 not set in udk.exe if you have windows 10
2=most of my maps require that you buy the hoh dlc to play them
3= in the start work list the game crashes when you hover the mouse arrow over the map name
what causes that=
i had a small handful of players report that steam workshop map photos in the main menu make the game crash
i t was only about 10 players out of 80000+ subscribers players that get that crash(yes i have over 80000+total subs to my maps=0 crash complaints in almost a year)
i since updated all my maps to show a 256x256 photo in main menu to fix that crash as for that small handful of players any preview image higher than 256x256 or 512x512 crashed thier game
so you will notice my map photos in main menu are a tad blurry(high res pics dont crash my game)
tried everything to use high res photos even if i used devs template it still died on them
so to other modders out there if players complain that your map crashes in the start work list then ya know why and how to fix it if your map has a preview photo in the main menu:)
i suspect it to be a mouse driver issue or custom mouse pointers or nvidia video driver (amd video is fine only nvidia users report it)causing it as my maps do contain high res textures it work fine for those players
for some players high res textures in main menu crash their game so i used low res pics=no more crash reports
if experiencing crashes on win 7
run windows update and install every update even the optional updates
update dotnet framework to 4.5
update direct x
update visulalc++redist 2010 and 2013=install both of em
can find those on microsoft website
windows 8.1=run windows update
i use win 8.1 as win 10 is crap half your older games wont work on win 10
vcd has compatabillity issues on win 10 for some win 10 players they cant even download any workshop maps at all
try to keep vcd/steam in online mode while playing esp while trying to get all the achievements:)
you dont need any dlc to play invasion x so it should not crash
coop in invasion x=yes you can flush everything down the toilet if ya want to:)

also note if you delete the rust manifest .ini file you will have to verify integrity of game cache
to fix that properly do this 1st
unsub from every workshop map
start vcd and wait til workshop finished working exit the game start it again wait til workshop finished working
exit vcd
delete rustmods.cfg in the config folder
delete rustmanifest.ini in rust downloads folder
delete all the zip files in rust downloads folder
verify integrity of game cache
resub to workshop maps
start 64 bit vcd if pc can run it and wait up to 30 mins for all resubed maps to download and install
wait till steam finish working exit and start either the 32 or 64 bit vcd and all subbed mods be installed
WARNING
if you delete the manifest.INI file without doing a verify game cache afterwards then vcd wont download anything from workshop at all
also to those who do verify game cache=steam skips corrupt files=still broken=verify game cache is tottally useless 10 files every time=still broken even after a reinstall if used delete local content or add remove programs in windows=leftover files=still broken
to get a clean install of vcd keep the saves folder and manually delete everything in viscera folder then verify the game cache in steam to reinstall vcd as a clean 1st run install9like when 1st bought vcd) to fix the game if it becomes corrupt=verify game cache 1000+ files to be redownloaded instead of 8 or 10
how do i know this=
one of my friends cheated unearthly excavation in the editor
i joined it on multiplayer my game downloaded broken unearthly excavation from the host before it joined thier server which installed a corrupt copy of unearthly excavation in my game=broken game
i verify game cache =still broken
deleted digsite.udk and verify game cache=it download new file instead of skipping corrupt file=fixed
any game on steam esp if its unity or udk 3 or udk 4 make sure ya manually delete all the games files before verify game cache esp if its early access with lots of game updates
example=
vcd wont work properly if ya got vcd in beta or alpha(like i did) the game will update but it wont delete the ancient old cooked pc folder????
game malfunction(i updated vcd on an old hdd from beta to current version=beta files did not get deleted from update)
its a steam problem so if games get a major update and start crashing on you delete it manually then do a verify game cache to fix it
if ya not delete any files 1st then verify game cache is useless

how to fix multiplayer and lan if its not working
number 1=CREATE A STATIC IPV4 ADDRESS USE STATIC IP IN FORWARDING RULES IN ROUTER SETTINGS
DYNAMIC IP STOP WORKING EVERY TIME RESTART PC OR ROUTER
also if the internet server list in the game is empty do this to fix it=

devs stuffed up mp in most recent steam update although it works fine for some players

it fix lan not working bug as cancelled connect attempt if port is set to 27015
it fix steam server browser=can join vcd server it start vcd automatically and auto join server
it fix empty server list ingame internet join tab=will see a server/s to join
port forward router properly add all vcd ports to router forwarding rules

check pinned coop thread topic for all port numbers to add to forwarding rules in router
test ports with free version of simple port forwarding app(its free to download=no crap in its installer either it just a free port forwarding app with the only working port tester on the net)
online port testers dont work
whats my ip also does nothin in direct connect
find your ip via cmd prompt ipconfig and press eter will give different ip use that for direct connect/give that ip to friend so they can join in direct connect
open advanced windows firewall
add port 7777 to firewall in inbound rules allow it to send recieve data over internet
add port 7777 to firewall in outbound rules allow it to send recieve data over internet
find steam.exe in inbound rules
enable steam to recieve data over internet (its disabled by default=cancelled connect attempt/your friend pressing join and it fail???) turn it on to fix it
in inbound rules find the 3 udk.exe files for vcd
santas rampage and shadow warrior
turn on send recieve data over internet
when start steam then when start vcd it will open port 7777 (only while vcd is running)
and it will enable the forwarded port in router to open instead of being blocked by windows firewall
then multiplayer will work fine
fix based of an arma 3 server workaround thats been working fine for 2 years for me in vcd=happy multiplayer in vcd:)
do not turn off avast antivirus or windows firewall or fix not work:)
sorry for posting a book lol as i have had every damn error ever posted in the vcd forums vcd can chuck at ya and i can fix almost any vcd error or problem with it
And yes I do have Windows 10 on my computer. I'll change the compatibility to Windows 7 for both .exe bit versions.
number 1 complaint is multiplayer or lan not working=its easy to fix it
i keep posting the fix for it=only fix that works tried and tested still works 2 years after i found a fix=that i made and discovered:)
vcd is loads of fun in multiplayer=dont forget to light TNT and put it in ya friends bin=lol
