theres a bug with the steam play button nothing downloads if i use the play button it stuck on detecting changes forever
i run udk.exe as admin then workshop downloads and installs all maps just fine
it also fixed my xbox controller along with multiplayer steam server browser
also left a post about this issue on the dev thread:)
for now i dont use the play button
im using steam beta its more stable than normal steam is
im hoping that in the future i can make some new maps when i get a new pc or new video card:)
is so run udk.exe as admin and set compatabillity mode to win 7
do same for rust.exe
still not installing
go in rust downloads folder
open one of the zip files with winzip or winrar or 7z
ini file goes in udkgame\config
int file goes in udkgame\content\mods\localization\INT folder
if the mod has a folder with udk or upk file in it put that folder in the udkgame\content\mods folder
carthiefs maps dont have a map folder just put his udk file in that mods folder
thats how to manually install maps if the zip file is in rustdownloads folder
usually if manually unpack one mod start the game it fix itself
also make sure the steam icon in the main menu is enabled
workshop download may or may not work on win 10
its hit and miss as vcd not fully compatible with win 10 although it works fine for most win 10 users
start steam go in viscera binaries folder and run udk.exe as admin to bypass the play button
if your pc can run 64 bit exe try that one
for me i use the 32 bit exe and mods install instead of getting stuck
if have mac vcd then cant play any workshop map on mac
if i ever run out of workshop cloud space i might use nexus as an alternative download
i only use steam toprevent those with pirate vcd from downloading my maps
RUSTClientProcess.exe is used to facilitate the downloading and installing of workshop content, as we cannot use the main UDK.exe for this.
I read something about workshop issues, so I hope this will be fixed. :)
i bypass the play button as the play button is buggy=nothing downloads if i use the play button
the fix=
run udk.exe as admin open steam 1st then i can download and install those maps or any map:)
