NO CHEATS? ♥♥♥♥ OFF!

You can't cheat in steam version of FATE so I bought my own version of it and I can cheat till my hearts content. Yes you WILL need cheats so don't listen to the whine bags saying cheating is bad and cheating is lame. Cheating is the only way you will beat this game without losing interest because they will gang up on yer ♥♥♥ and youll die and have to choose three different options for respawning, none of which are good, then you wind up running for your life because the level you spawn on is now loaded with bad guys ganging up on you again. By the time you make it to the level you were at, you will need more money to buy more health just so you can survive this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. Do yourself a favor and buy the retail version for the same price and avoid the steam version at all costs or you will be sorry. ;).

Sorry, I've only modded the first FATE game, so I wouldn't know how to do that myself, seeing as I have zero experience with that file layout and ( kinda the same thing ) that the files were changed.

Cursed King has an extra Undead Race that is already built in but you have to mod a file to make it accessable.

You can check out it's bonuses in races.dat by opening it in notepad.

You'll also notice how each of the races are based on a "Class" the devs envisioned as well.

The Undead start out with the following bonuses iirc:
5 Charm Magic
5 Spear Skill
+5% Slash Resistance
+5% Piercing Resistance
+5% Ice Resistance
-5% Crush Resistance

Open Races.dat and remove the number signs (# )from after the #Summoner Class. Save and when you reload the Undead should be available from the list.

You can look at the previous races to see an example in the file od which (#) to remove.

There are more mods available over on the old Widgames forums that add in more monsters weapons, gems, items and pets. Beware that if you add in a super strong weapons then the monsters as well will be equiped with them for you to find, so if your life suddenly takes a massive hit then that monster might have one of the new modded weapons.

Not all of the mods are powerful and some are made for ease of use.
I like the extra gems and pets. As well as adding in new monsters to fight.

Play the game first normal and then through in mods to spice it up.

If you want some simple mods that you can just drop into the game, here are a few.
These need to be added as folders directly to the Realms folder of your game.
Mine is here
C:\ProgramData\WildTangent\FateCursedKingSteam\Cache\REALMS

unzip and add in.
New Artifacts (new weapons and armore found in lower levels only)
Lulu Heavenly Stones (new gems)
Diablo II Runes (runes instead of gems)
Avo's Tear (Weapon)
Bunny (monsters)
Swordpack (weapons)
Andurath (weapons armor)

Whats not fun getting ganged up by enemies? It makes the game more intense and using cheats isnt really that fun to use really. It makes the game too easy, you want to struggle through the levels to get better. Thats the kind of game for me, and i still havent beaten it. But i made alot of progress on making money, gaining levels, fames, etc. The game is insane and it wont be insane if you have cheats.

Also, its POSSIBLE to beat the game legit. You just decide to not accept that the game is too hard for you to beat, and think cheating is the best way to get through. Cheating is just a way of saying easy-to-win, in other words, boring. No struggle, no effort, just a simple 1 minute playthrough and you are done.

Those who believes cheating is fun, never understand how the game works. Idc if you are offended, i found it annoying how cheats are used over something they cant accomplished and think its "impossible to beat". If its mods sure, some developers on mods really need to fix it as some could be beginners. But a game? Come on.

Some people do like to cheat and I dont think they need to explain themselves to you if they do. Just play the game and stop whining about cheaters.

I fished for fish and got quite a few artifacts for 20k-500k but i beat the game without cheats I am level 23-25 and I beat the boss you just need to have patience

You absolutely do not need to cheat to beat the game. The Fate games are rather easy. Even on Hardcore mode. I still like the mods and to mod my games as after I beat the game I like to go farther rather then restart with a new character. I like to add more to the game and mods do that for me. Whether they are to make is easier or harder. I personally like to add in more monsters and such to the game.
The old Fate forums even add whole new world mods and extra quest givers to add to the main city.

It's difficulty is debatable, because there are a couple strategies in particular that make your character generally OP.

Flawless is a tier description for fish, a max tier that will perminantly transform your pet (until you feed it something else) If you are doing an rp playthrough, hunt these out. Superior is the top tier for gems.
